Well, since last week turned out so good I figured I'd try this again (last season is officially behind me).

Another HUGE week. It will be tough to get 3 points this week, but I think 4 will obviously be a successful week. The game vs. Mon looms large and will definitely go a long way towards making a statement, I think the team will be up for the challenge. I am also very interested to see how they play against a very strong Rangers team.

The NHL schedule can be a pain in the ass. They haven't played since Saturday and then have to play in Chicago on Wednesday night and then fly home and play the very next evening against Montreal.

Meanwhile, the Habs simply play Tuesday night and then make a quick trip down from MTL and face the B's with an extra day of rest and 2 days removed from their flight.

I understand it has to happen sometimes and every team is effected by it but it's particularly infuriating when it involves games featuring division rivals.

I completely agree and I've often wondered if the NHL wouldn't benefit from the NFL formula. I would like to see the schedule cut back a few games and see if they can go to a 2 game a week schedule where they only play on a couple given days of the week (like Sundays and Mondays for the NFL). I think this would increase the intensity and level of play in the games. This would also perhaps raise interest in the league as everyone would know which day the NHL was playing and could adjust their schedules accordingly. It's an interesting idea, I wonder how it would work.

Has anyone seen the Rangers lately? Was wodering if they moved Drury back to center yet? And if so did they decide to keep 3 strong centers(Gomez, Drury, Dubinsky) or combine two of them on one line? Because that could be an interesting matchup to watch against Savard, Bergeron, and Krejci.

Getting amped for this game tonight. Unfortunately the Patriots play the Jets tomorrow night, so one of the best chances the Bruins have of getting fans in the seats will be overshadowed by the Patriots. It's hard to argue watching the B's play the Canadiens over a big Patriots/Jets Thursday night game. On the other hand, the Celtics play the undefeated Hawks tonight. The Bruins can't catch a break.

I'm hoping we have a big crowd in here tonight and a ton of people switching between the B's and Celts. Should be a really fun game to watch.

Celts certainly haven't started out too well, hopefully the same fate doesn't await the Bruins.

That sucks, but it'll make the Bash all the better. You'll be a cheaper date for BU.

Holy hell, will the game start already?

of course I could be wrong.

You wouldn't exchange 5 minutes of Thornton for 5 minutes of Byfuglien? That's a win every time from a talent perspective. Hopefully it motivates the guys to get their skating legs a bit more.

Certainly to our benefit, just saying in general this seeason, big hits are almost immediately followed by a scuffle or fight from someone not involved, it's getting ridiculous.
