I still think that Giambi gets my award for the man I'd least likely want to meet in a dark alley.
Or in a bright, airy place filled with police.

Seeing A-Rod pop up on one pitch, the Steroid Monkey strike out and the Yankees go down 1-2-3 never gets old, especially on al-Yankezerra Network.

I wish I could say yes, but I think I've heard it before.Did you make that up? It's very funny.

or a dark bar, for that matter: Giambi looks sleazier than Bill Murray's lounge lizard.I still think that Giambi gets my award for the man I'd least likely want to meet in a dark alley.

While I want Pedroia to win the batting title, I would like him to hit his way to it (overtaking Mauer) rather than Mauer having an O'fer. I want something to tell my kids about. I guess overtaking a guy with a five point advantage is impressive no matter what.

I was just thinking how weird it is to watch a Sox-Yankees game on the final day of the season that has no relevance of any kind, not even as a possible postseason preview. We might as well be playing the Royals. How sweet it is.I know that this game is meaningless, and the only things that really matter are avoiding injuries, tuning up DMat and getting Lowell and Drew some time (are they still playing?), but damn, it's nice to watch a Sox-Yankees game without the usual angst.

Isn't this just an extension of the random endpoint fallacy? I'm sure there was a day in August where Mauer went 0 for 5 and Pedroia went 3/4. That has just as much effect on the batting title as anything that happens today. While I want Pedroia to win the batting title, I would like him to hit his way to it (overtaking Mauer) rather than Mauer having an O'fer. I want something to tell my kids about. I guess overtaking a guy with a five point advantage is impressive no matter what.

Basically, you can't throw a called strike to any of Jeter, Abreu, A-Rod or Giambi. It's amazing this lineup put up mediocre numbers this year considering that...How was that not a strike? That looked perfect.

What are they saying? Because all NYC is saying is that the guy should be moved.Yeah, I gotta turn this game off. Cano has had the shittiest year imaginable, and YES is absolutely blowing him because he's hot for the last few meaningless games of the Yankee season.
Posted 28 September 2008 - 02:40 PM
If Drew cared, he does too
Posted 28 September 2008 - 02:40 PM
They're saying that Cano is on a tear since he got benched by Girardi but in fairness, his numbers are pretty good since that time. What are they saying? Because all NYC is saying is that the guy should be moved.
