Did anyone see this coming? Even a few weeks into the season I was still just hoping he'd be league average this year. Ever since that showdown with Halladay he's been a new pitcher.

I hate missing Lester starts, and now it seems I missed a kinda sorta no-hitter. Damn job, getting in the way of real life.
Ah, I remember it well, lo these many years later. It still sucks.A lot of years ago, back in nineteen hundred and seventy eight, we experienced some evil
It's because they always look bad from the wrong side. Why do all of our switch hitters look so much better from the right side?

Biggest game of the year for the Mets and you have Ramon Martinez making his first start of the year at 2B and Robinson Cancel making his 9th career start. They deserve anything bad coming to them. And Minaya gets a 4 year contract for putting that pile of suck together.
Are the Mets getting too hispanic again?

We have a good bullpen.I like it when Okarjeemer pitches well. He makes the bullpen seem...less...bad.

141 innings of 2.44 ERA baseball the past two years including the playoffs. Not a lot of relievers who can boast of numbers like that.

Gameday weird lately for anyone else? There seem to be a lot of simultaneous bases loaded situation, and they have a new font for the scores along the top.
Dunno about the fonts, but I've got 5 games with bases loaded, yeah.

Call me a borderline delusional optimist, but there's still time for them to roll over.
