i'll never understand why they treat scott brosius like honus wagner

They treat him like he was better than Joe Randa at least.

They just played the audio of Ruth recalling his "Called Shot", which (A) was a complete fabrication, and (B) allegedly took place when Ruth homered in Chicago against the Cubs.

Well done, Yankee historians.

Um. Didn't the MFYs lose the 2001 Seires?

They did indeed.

We all know anything historic related to the Yankees took place at Yankee Stadium...c'mon, you know that!

I think someone held up a crudely put together drawing on lined paper of where he is tonight. I didn't catch it, though.

This production has no drama whatsoever. The intros are too drawn out, followed by lame-ass organ music.

Anyone know if Fat Roger's going to be the big surprise? Will he be standing in George's box?

Or are they going to have one of his kids wear his uniform with a pillow above his waist?

Scott Brosius is like one of the worst 3Bman ever. Seriously.

But he'll be loved longer and better than AROD ever will. Funny what some clutch hits in the Post Season will do.

Now Chuck Knoblauch, Alfonso Soriano and Robinson Cano are Yankee legends. Apparently Shane Spencer and Kevin Maas somehow didn't make the cut.

Truth is, though, you can't really picture ARod hitting a 2 out, game tying homer in the 9th inning of a strat o matic game, let alone a real live World Series game.

edit- Ah, that's probably for Martin and Munson

They really throw the term "legend" around loosely over there in the Bronx. If I was a betting man I'd say the big surprise will be them retiring Danny Tartabull's number.

I guess the "kids'" uniforms are a different color.

They're reflective of the faded wool that used to be worn by their fathers when they played, not the polyester blends worn since the 70s.
