I'm still undecided as to how I feel but maybe they'll be a nice 16 inning game that includes two bench clearing brawls.

What no game thread? Well then, I'll remedy that. The Yankees take on the Angels. We want the Angels to lose because that helps to secure homefield advantage in the playoffs. We want the Yankees to lose because, well, they are the Yankees.

I know it's been tough but we did it with Yanks/Rays so we should be a bit more acclimated by now but we definitely want to root for the MFY's. Not only will it help us secure the best record in the AL, but also we want the Yankees to finish at least with the 16th best record in MBL so they don't get a protected draft pick. I think Arod is due for a meaningless break out game with say 5 RBI's so that would be nice.

True. I forgot to consider the draft pick issue.
Wow, the Angels are SUCKING.

MFY hurlers looking real sharp tonight.
Neither of those pitchers will be with the Yankees in 2009 - they're doing their job....

They don't know that! Beat LA! Beat Tampa!Singleton's analogy that this incident might wake a sleeping dog doesn't really work here since the dog died about a month ago.

What's more sad? The fact that the Yankees are paying $200 million on a fourth place team or the fact that their fans are actually rooting for them to lose so they get a protected draft pick?
I think they need to focus on some type of goal that will make them forget about the absolute joke of a team they have to watch night in and night out.
In the final year at Yankee Stadium, the Yankees are having one of the most laughable baseball regular seasons in our lifetimes.

Kay is repeating the same shit we've heard from Yankee fans all year- this team is better than they're playing. That's total bullshit. I've been saying all season that this team just isn't that good. Their lineup is not that scary. It's full of high priced guys who were former all stars but not current ones. Throw in a mediocre pitching staff that included two shitty rookie starters and a below average pen and you've got an average team.
Kay need to see that the Emperor has NO clothes.
MFY at bats make it look like they just want this to END

Remember after Damon signed with the Yankees, his father equated Damon leaving the Sox with Babe Ruth leaving the Sox?
That was awesome

A season of having to work with Ponson, Rasner, Pavano, Hughes and Kennedy will eventually take its toll.
Really - If there's guy who's stressed out , it must be him.
