I'll be at the stadium tonight, hopefully get a good game out of Pettitte and Wakefield doesn't do the thing he sometimes does againist the Yankees where he becomes superman.

Sox are banged up.
Beckett's out.
We face Wakefield, Lester, and Byrd - 2 of 3 is a MUST - in reality, a sweep is what's needed.
Yankees need Pettitte to step up and set the tone for the series. They need to put their best lineup out there all 3 games.

well, Molina is catching two of the three games, not that Pudge has been hitting much better than him (and to be clear, I'd personally like to see Molina out there as much as possible). and Damon in CF is a disaster waiting to happen on anything in his direction, hopefully it won't kill them too much this series.

I'm a HUGE fan of Molina's pitch calling, so it's almost a relief to see him in two out of the next three games. I think our pitchers will only need to be average to get a series win since the Yankees offense is still very capable.
A sweep would change the spectrum of the wildcard race - so, that's what I'll hope for.

Hey doc, I saw some of your debate with the "enlightened" folks at nyyfans.com. How many brain cells did you lose reading some of their nonsense?
My GOD! That guy BMX is supposed to be one of the smarter posters!
Would it kill them to admit that the Sox have done a wonderful job of developing positional players and getting younger, all the while remaining competitive?
They're arguing that the Beckett deal was a bad one for the Red Sox, that Youkilis' season is a dramatic outlier (which it might be, but he's a plus defender and an above average hitter, all the while being inexpensive), that Pedroia isn't any good, and that Ellsbury and Lowrie will suck.
Eventually, I'd had enough.
Congrats to your team - they've really done things the right way. Hopefully the Yankees are taking notes...

He does know that Beckett has 72.2 IP in the postseason right?

WHy does he keep saying 25 IP?
He does know that Beckett has 72.2 IP in the postseason right?
I think he was talking only about last season. 4 Starts, right?
It's idiotic, nonetheless...

the real question is why anyone reads that forum outside of the minor league threads, let alone participates. do you ever finish one and think "wow, I learned something there"? because I sure don't.
Yes, you're right - the minor league threads, while full of fanboys, actually sometimes has interesting information.
Inside the Lines is ridiculous.
I sell my Yankee tickets there - b/c I will only sell to Yankee fans....
