I missed yesterday's game, how exciting was it?
njingles3 pretty much summed it up at the end of yesterdays thread
"Hahaha. So this is what it looks like when old people fuck."

Seriously, am I smarter than advance scouts and batting coaches? First pitch curves to 4 out of 4 hitters today.
That is Moose 08 for sure.

Let's see how the Yankees blow this team up over the off-season. Essentially 1/2 of the entire roster needs to go.
I won't miss Giambi, Abreu, and Cabrera much....
you'll miss abreu, he can hit and he works the count. im more afraid of him than a-rod.

He doesn't seem to have the patience he's had in the past - gets it to 3-1, 2-1, 3-2 but doesn't take the walk anymore....
I won't miss his wall-phobia either. I'll take the draft pick.

If the Royals had just shown up yesterday in support of a legit pitcher, they would have won the series.

And ... the Bannister implosion begins.
If the Royals had just shown up yesterday in support of a legit pitcher, they would have won the series.
Here's hoping you're right about the implosion - Mussina didn't exactly inspire confidence that first inning

God the Royals are an embarrassing team
And yet somehow, the Yankees will not win the season series against them this year - says alot about NY as well...

Yeah, this one's over. Once again the MFYs come back from the brink.
LOL - Royals up 3-0 in the first and you're calling a Yankee win a foregone conclusion??
Edit: Whoops - guess you're clairvoyant!

Yup. I'd be more effective than Bannister against these clowns.

What's amazing about Bannister's hideous number is that he actually had a very nice start to his season. I have no idea how a guy who hasn't won since June with an ERA over 7 since then doesn't lose his rotation spot, but I guess that's KC Royals baseball.Over

And now they get Shemp back and send noodle bat Gardner to the bench. This is FAR from over.

The Oakland Giambi used to hit the ball to leftfield all the time.
I love the X-man.

NYC is right, there is a 0% chance of the Royals winning this game.Said in the bottom of the 1st in tie game.

Bannister is a AAA pitcher at best.

Serious question - is Cano + minor league pitcher not named Hughes enough to get a top young OF prospect/pitcher in return?
I think not, but every other Yankee fan I talk to (even the ones I consider level-headed and knowledgable) says yes.

Before this year, yes. Easily. Even after this year... I'd say probably.Even Hollywood getting in to the act...

Then they should consider it in the offseason....
For the right guy.
