Bannister is their pinata. If the MFYs don't win by 10 runs, it should count as a loss.

Seriously, am I smarter than advance scouts and batting coaches? First pitch curves to 4 out of 4 hitters today.

Let's see how the Yankees blow this team up over the off-season. Essentially 1/2 of the entire roster needs to go.

I won't miss Giambi, Abreu, and Cabrera much....

He doesn't seem to have the patience he's had in the past - gets it to 3-1, 2-1, 3-2 but doesn't take the walk anymore....

I won't miss his wall-phobia either. I'll take the draft pick.

And ... the Bannister implosion begins.

If the Royals had just shown up yesterday in support of a legit pitcher, they would have won the series.

Here's hoping you're right about the implosion - Mussina didn't exactly inspire confidence that first inning

What's amazing about Bannister's hideous number is that he actually had a very nice start to his season. I have no idea how a guy who hasn't won since June with an ERA over 7 since then doesn't lose his rotation spot, but I guess that's KC Royals baseball.

I have to say, that shift really works against Giambi. He has lost a ton of hits the year into the shift.

The Oakland Giambi used to hit the ball to leftfield all the time.

I love the X-man.

NYC is right, there is a 0% chance of the Royals winning this game.

Bannister is a AAA pitcher at best.

Even Hollywood getting in to the act...

Serious question - is Cano + minor league pitcher not named Hughes enough to get a top young OF prospect/pitcher in return?

I think not, but every other Yankee fan I talk to (even the ones I consider level-headed and knowledgable) says yes.
