I wonder what happened in the NYYFans game thread after that debacle

Yeah, after three 1-2-3 innings to start, I'm sure the fourth caused near spontaneous combustion....

Foulkey, just got to the game thread and was astonished to see your prediction, not because it was right, but because you used to be a Gloomy Gus sort of fellow who always predicted that the Yankees would crush the opponents, and thus your heart.

So what I wanna know it, are you doing Transcendental Meditation or did you finally realize these aren't Your Father's Yankees?

Or, maybe, the meds are working:

In Alex's defense, his 4th inning strikeout wasn't exactly his fault. Greinke was trying to PREVENT him from getting a hit. I mean, come on, how was that fair?

Didn't he make a fabulous catch an inning or so ago, or I am mixed up?

He did make a good catch, but he's an awful outfielder and has an OPS of .707 hitting in the #3 hole.

The Royals are the only team that still hacks away like it's 1980. More first-pitch swings late in the game than any team I've ever seen.
