I see they brought Pauley up. Good since they burned through the pen pretty good last night. Only Timlin and Masterson didn't come in and I think Jed through 3 Innings warming up last night!!

They already have too many pitchers. I suppose if it's for only a couple of games, it won't hurt.

I didn't see the game last night... I'm guessing this must mean that he fell in a drunken stupor and knocked Jacoby down, leading to the bruised tailbone?

And would ya look at that? The Yankees lose! Thaaaaaaaaaaa Yankees lose!

Well, my one saving grace here is that the Yankees next 9 games are against KC, TOR and BAL followed on with BOS at home. They have a chance to really beat up on those weaker teams. If they don't. They are done.

Selective Statistic: NYY is five games in the loss column away from last place and six games in the loss column away from 2nd place.

Let the trend continue

Longoria, Crawford, Wakefield and Lowell all being placed on the DL. Kansas City, Toronto and Baltimore up next on the schedule. Hate to say it, but New York is still in this.

You do realize Mike Lowell has been well below replacement level since the beginning of July, and Casey will likely be an improvement, right? I don't view Lowell as a "loss".
