1:10pm start today btw.

Twins need to redeem themselves after last night's disgrace of a loss.

A nice preemptive F U to Nick Punto.

I hope the Yankees think the game starts at 1:10 EST as well. That might actually be an improvement over Rasner.

This is the 10th and final game in the season series. I would humbly suggest that Morneau do something today for once against these clowns.

Rasner just struck out the only two decent hitters that the Twins have.

Fuck you Morneau. Way to go with that .653 OPS (and falling) against the MFYs.

I think that the Twins suck might be just a bit more powerful than the Yankees suck at this point.

The Twins suck, they do, they always suck. Look at their lineup, besides Mauer and Morneau. Look at their rotation other than Liriano, no one is scary there. They suck.

I am shocked they are doing this well, shocked.

I thought MLB was going to do something about these fucking bats shattering? Not until someone gets speared like S. Yeagher years ago I guess.

This is what I think of when I see the Minnesota Twins.

The Twins, Ortiz says, so enthusiastically stressed small-ball tactics such as hitting behind runners that “if you moved the runner over from second base [with a groundout], you got high fives in the dugout like you just hit a home run.”

In his first at bat with the Red Sox, while batting cleanup in a spring training game, Ortiz happened to come up with a runner on second base and no outs. “I came in with that little pull, cheap-shot s---,” said Ortiz, explaining his grounder to second base on an outside sinker. “I still had the Minnesota Twins in my system.”

This time there were no high fives waiting for him in the dugout, just manager Grady Little with a word of advice. “Hey,” Little said. “Next time? Bring him in.”

Ortiz smiles at the memory. “I was like, O.K.!” he says. “I had a little more freedom than what I was used to.”

I just looked up on the Twins roster and is their starting rotation really

Livo
Blackburn
Baker
Slowey
Perkins

not in any order, with Liriano trying to come back? All the more reason it's safe to root for them today and against the Rays later on. They just should not be contending.

Cool story, but Grady giving direction to Ortiz, yikes. Does that sound a hundred years ago, or what?

Of course they waste Liriano on the lousy Mariners instead of, you know, a team they need to beat out for the WC.

The Twins are like the Angels lite. Less power, but able to score from first on crappy base hits.

That sucked even though it was the right call. HGH was standing in the running lane which is why the guy ran ran where he did so he wouldn't run him over. Next time - RUN HIM OVER!

What the fuck????? Rasner throws the ball at the baserunner, who's on the motherfucking base, and they rule he's in the way of the throw intentionally???? Do umpires look for obscure rules before every single game to reward the Yankees?

Come on, give the guy some credit for finally having a squad that didn't underperform their expected W-L record by a handful of wins.

Pretty bad. No real chance for a DP, and he stepped off the bag a second or two before he received the throw.
