15.7? what does someone need to do for a 16?
His difficulty was a 6.4...he would have needed a 9.6

I'd never thought I would enjoy 3 men on a pole so much.

Lowest difficulty of any routine though. And one judge gave him a 9.0 when all the others were 9.4 and higher.

I do not at all understand why the vault is worth more points than the high bar.
Well, for instance, the last Chinese vaulter had a difficulty of 7.2---the high bar difficulties were more in the 6.5 range...that's a big difference.
Not to mention the US got to do the vault as well.

So we've got the horse and what else?

So the Chinese dude gets a 16.6 on the vault and we get 15.6/15.7s? Bull.
Actually, you're wrong. Two of the 3 US guys got over 16's on the vault.
If we're going to complain, at least get the facts right.

True...and also, let's not forget 1996, when ladies got home cookin in Atlanta.
Thats just how it works. And you really cant complain about it...A silver out of the men here is essentially a gold, and should be lauded as such.

I think our problem is that we just don't know what's really difficult. Maybe the high bar is considered an easier event. Who knows.Well, for instance, the last Chinese vaulter had a difficulty of 7.2---the high bar difficulties were more in the 6.5 range...that's a big difference.

But yeah, the Chinese had the higher difficulty score, so their overall score can be higher. Plus that one dude did a ninja flip vault.

It seems the US is getting the same scores as China, but China is doing more difficult routines.
They did just say that China ends on the high bar which is where they've had issues in the past.

The US being in front was nice, but everyone seems to forget we got that lead because we did the higher scoring event earlier than the Chinese did.

DJ, yeah I mean, I'm not complaining...it is what it is...I still think the Chinese will choke, but if they don't, then they deserve the gold...the home teams always get the bump in the judged sports, and if you compete on par with them on their home turf, they will win.
And a silver out of the US, if they can pull it off, will be no less FUCKING remarkable.

Why isnt there music in the men's floor exercise? Why is there music in the ladies?
The USA have music.
1. It's Raining Men
2. Sharp Dressed Man
3. Macho Man.
