I forgot that Hakeem was on that team. Wow...The 96 team has been completely overlooked (by myself included) in all of these debates about the best USA team. Some of the guys, like Barkley, Stockton, and Malone were gettig up there in age but I might take this team over 92 and 08. Penny and Hill were incredible players in 1996 before their injuries.
I actually had a Penny Olympic jersey from that year and went to the Olympics in Atlanta. I remember being so upset we couldn't get tickets to see any of the Men's games.
I have that same Penny jersey as well and I still have it.
