I feel like I'm going to throw up.
I'm going to if Olerud doesn't get it done.
Edit: Toilet here I come. Absolutely disgusting. Fuck Randy Johnson. Can't beat the worst team in his own division and he gets 4 Ws against us. Piece of shit. Friday's ugliness really hurts now.
Oh well, at least we still have that fantastic 3.0 game lead! Which is one game worse than what we had coming in.
Fuck you, Giambi. You should have been banned from the game. Just like the rest of the steroid users.

HGH assisted homer is the difference, that's a real kick in the balls.

Great, great, great performance by Wakes. ... I don't leave this one feeling too down. If our pitching keeps up this way, we'll be fine.

I said it before the series... we just needed to win 1 this weekend
... they needed a sweep to keep any kind of chance alive for the division, let alone the wildcard.
Their season is on life support, and they're heading into Tampa Bay.
Time for some payback in Toronto.

What really galls is that you don't have to be a genius to figure out what's going on with Giambi this year, so to be beaten by a cheater -- again -- is really infuriating.
I won't have a lot of pity for him when he goes Lyle Alzado

Hey, we didn't get the breaks today, that's the way the cookie crumbled for us.
Ladies and Gents, we are STILL in FIRST PLACE by 3, no need to visit the Zakim Bridge yet (hey, could you even get in between all those wires?).

Yo have absolutely no proof that Giambi is taking any steroids or any other banned substancces.

What Giambis has done this year will probably do more to prove to people that you don;t need steroids to put up great numbers.

High drama, great pitching... the only thing it was missing was a happy ending.
It's too bad the only run was by a known steroid user, but still.

If you hire Robert DeNiro's housekeeper and then your stuff starts disappearing, I guess you'll just sound like a whiney homeowner.

There's certainly no "evidence" however, MLB doesn't test for HGH, only for steroids. Giambi is an admitted cheater. What makes you think that he wouldn't cheat with another substance that's untested?

If we had won this game, the pressure would be incredible on the Yankees in the coming weeks. But, now the pressure is squarely on us.
Damn.
What a lost opportunity.
We can't pooch any games now. Francona is going to have to do his job and ensure everyone is properly focused for every game. No more 4-error games.
What an enormous win for the Yankees.
Damn.

- I'll take Wake on my team anyday.
- It is good to see the Sox getting men on against fruitbat.
- I concure with everyone here who wanted to see Tek at the end.

A couple of observations:
The CFY fans positively HATE Big Papi. The loathing that came out of that crowd when he was announced as a PH was deafening.
Their worship (deserved) of the Fruit Bat is actually a thing to behold. The cheer that came up when his music came on was quite impressive. Those New York fans really know how to seranade one of their immortals. Oh, unless he happens to blow a game or two in April. Then he gets showered with boos. Fucktards.
Bubba Crosby runs REALLY fast. And his theme music is Weezer's "Hash Pipe". Too bad he plays for Satan, or I'd like him.

No, the pressure is still on the Yankees. To make the playoffs. Which they wouldn't do if the season ended today, the win notwithstanding.
I could not disagree more. If we had won yesterday's game, then yes. But we failed.
Now, the Yanks have dodged a big bullet and are coming up on our right shoulder, just as the Indians are coming up on the inside fast (two games behind and the best team in the AL right now). We've given both of them hope that they can catch us, and we're in the position of looking over BOTH our shoulders (division and wild card). They both have a little extra hop in their step today and we don't. That's a bad thing.
We can very easily be on the outside looking in within a week if we don't start playing better than we are right now. Monster series coming up.
The team which has ME most worried is the Indians. They certainly are playing with the least pressure of all the contenders and playing the best. I wouldn't be the least surprised if they ended up with the second-best record in the AL. I'm rooting for the Twinkies tonight. Otherwise, the Indians might be only 1 1/2 games behind by evening's end.

We're three games up with twenty to play. We lost a one-nothing game with our fourth starter against our chief rival's ace. The sky is hardly falling. You need to take a deep breath.

Huh? Am I missing something? I thought we won yesterday. The Yankees do not hold a playoff spot right now.I could not disagree more. If we had won yesterday's game, then yes. But we failed.
