That bid would be far more effective (and a whole lot funnier) if accompanied by these photos:

Bill Boolachark is not clear as to why you pussies are afraid to bid:

Tom understands though. He understands that maybe this kind of bidding hurts your feelings. That maybe it makes you feel bad. Tom wants you to hug a goat. Tom wants you to oil your pecs and wear tight shorts:

He's not changing anything. The July 1 post from Candy states:

The bidding for all auctions will be done in graduated increments:
$10 bidding increments for items auctioning between $0 - $200
$25 bidding increments for items auctioning between $201 - $500
$50 bidding increments for items auctioning over $501+
$100 bidding increments for items auctioning over $1000
This is being done to avoid insignificant last minute bids to win an auction.

There's an expression that "Talk is cheap" and for the most part, this is an accurate statement.

However, in this particular thread, talk is expensive. Literally. And the current price of speech is $2,850.

So it's more with the checkbook, less with the google.

Cancer, catching fire, having a child die, getting hit by a truck, being imprisoned in a 3rd world country for life, shattering your spine and sitting next to URI for 9 innings all say "Hi."

Of course, I also believe that ALS is a horrible condition and putting money towards a cure is a huge priority. I just don't go all homo about it.

Here is the information on how to register for bidding:

Non-members are also welcome to bid on auction items, but must register with a $5.00 donation to Curt's Pitch; this is to ensure we have current contact information. To do this, go to the Donation site and click on the DONATE link under the SoSH logo or in the box on the top left of the page. This donation is tax-deductible.

Come on in! The bidding is fine!

Hey clownshoes, it's a real simple concept. You want to talk, you pay. No money = no talk. Real freaking simple.

It's no wonder your kids cry after a little taunting. They have a daddy who can't afford to talk back to the big kids.

Hey blowhard, I'll talk when I want to talk. That's simple, too.

At least my kids were at the game rather than sitting home with their thumbs up their asses.

And the kids did have a very good time in Jacksonville. Just like you, right?

The best part of this is that you think that this was a comeback that "got me."

Your kids started crying in front of taunting.

My kid has been:

1) Thrown out of a ballpark
2) Taunted by Yankee fans every single day he goes to school or on the bus.
3) On the losing end of many crushing games for both the Sox and the Eagles
4) Follows both teams immensely closely

and has never cried. Not once. As one of the parents at the pool mentioned yesterday with reference to Sox-Yankees stuff, "Your kid can give it back pretty good, huh?"

Yep, you hopped on the bandwagon for a team that won a few games.

My son isn't a pussy.

Sleep well there Corporate Seat guy.

Oh, and while in general yes, you can talk back for free, in the Auction Threads you can't. We're all excited about the bid you will be making funded by your girlfriend in Niagara Falls, but right now you're just a guy who talks a lot but prefers to have the ticket paid for by the firm.

Typical Mr. Know it All Nonsense from you.

One, I was having fun, not thinking "I got you." Who the hell cares about "getting someone" on SoSH?

Two, I've been a die hard Pats fan since about 1972. If that's the bandwagon then I'm guilty.

Three, my EMC seats are my own. I got the chance to buy them as a result of befriending some members of the Sox FO after the Grady Boner Game. True, I share half with a friend, expense some of my half by taking clients or giving them to clients, and sell others, but that hardly makes me what you called me. It wasn't long ago that I was standing in the bleachers watching Papi's bomb go over Sheff's head in game 4, and I'm just as happy in those seats as my awesome EMC seats.

Four, I see you've latched onto the fact that my youngest two kids cried at SB 42 when a drunk Giants fan teased them at the end of an emotionally draining game. I could give a shit if that's a sign of weakness for you. I have five extremely well adjusted kids and the fact that the two youngest cried under those circumstances tells me only that they're incredibly passionate about the Pats and were vulnerable to a bully...someone just like you, Yammer.
