Easy pick for the O's. Posey would have been blocked by Matt Wieters, their first pick last year.Baltimore with Matusz.

Oh, I'm not impressed with how they did it, just with the result. They're going to be feeding talent into that major league roster for quite a few years, it seems. The timing of their rise is pretty nice, though. They're a viable playoff threat this year and are bringing the number 1 overall pick into the number 1 system in baseball.
Not a bad time to be one of the 18 Rays fans who existed before the start of the season.
Plus the organization has also signed some of these guys to long term deals early on, buying out their Arbitration and a couple of FA years.

Settle down buddy.

Phillips is retarted. College coaches don't call pitches, at least ours don't.
BC's coach does, I can't speak for any other schools but I know he does. Usually lets the catchers call them during intrasquad scrimmages and he calls them during the games. The catcher wears a little QB wristband type thing with different sequences of numbers on it that the coach will call.

He probably just made about $10M. I'd be stoked too.Boy, Posey sounds excited.
Settle down buddy.
Not that big of a fan of Skipworth, because it's doubtful he can stay at C.

Beckham next? Reds have a lot of corner players, so I don't see Smoak. He probably just made about $10M. I'd be stoked too.

I didn't make it to as many games this year because of a bunch of crap second semester but I know last semester with a true freshman catcher the coach called a good portion of the game. Maybe a little less this year now that the catcher had more experience.

Lawrie here?
EDIT - Then again, the MLB Draft isn't really meant to address "needs". The value here is Smoak.

Yup. Best available player here is Smoak (as I understand it), and the Nats *should* take him.I think the Nats will take an up-the-middle player here (given their past emphasis on power hitting and pitching).

I'm an idiot. (Or maybe the Nats are.) They're eating Crow.Yup. Best available player here is Smoak (as I understand it), and the Nats *should* take him.

Crows' delivery looks, well, off.
I think Bowden and Co. deserve some leeway given their recent drafts, but this does appear a bit odd.

I don't get it either. Their corners are pretty full.wtf? alonso?
Thats gotta be a trade their thinking.
I'm doubting it's a trade, because MLB teams don't draft that way.

So I'm gonna be at work untl 4PM EST meaning I have to follow this thing on the net until I leave. Last year there was a javascript window that updated with picks as they were made. Kind of like a gameday window. I'm having trouble finding it this year, can anyone help? I'm at the draft central page, but I'm not seeing anything quite like that.
Closest I've been able to find is the Draft Tracker, but it looks vastly different from what I remember of last year. Am I just missing it? Or is that it?
I believe you are looking for Draftcaster (as I was). It's here.

It might be because I can't install the flash software it's asking for, but I just get an alphabetical list of players. Oh well. And Castro at 10? And here I was being a silly boy thinking there might be a chance he could drop, hehe.
