My week and a half of no wife or daughter at home comes to an end tonight. No more strip club visits or drunken text messages to and from 20 year olds. So that means I'm back to the Sox for entertainment value.

Sox win today, then win again, then a few more after that. That would be good.

I understood that if Casey was placed on the DL, Moss would be called up.

If Ortiz is scratched, why isn't Manny at DH? Is Drew slowed by an injury?

Ortiz Resting Right Knee

David Ortiz is not in the lineup tonight, after bruising his right knee making a head-first slide into first base on the rally-killing 1-6-3 double play in the 11th inning Friday night, a slide manager Terry Francona refered to as a "car accident." Ortiz, who had surgery on the knee in the offseason, winced as he tried to sit at his locker Friday night after the game. The injury is not considered serious, but he gets tonight off, with J.D. Drew the DH.

Papi needs a rest, and, after last night's debacle, this is a good night to take off.

Clay dominates and Sox win.

3rd most, also 3rd most runs and #1 in baserunners. GDP are like RBI - a product of opportunity.

Going into today's game his K% rate was at 26.1%. What makes it more glaring is that his BB% is only 8.9. Well below his career norm.

The highest it has ever been as a Red Sox (and for his career) is 27.8% in 01'.

UPton hardly had to move. Boneheaded play.

Coco's been competing for the CF job pretty well, but one category where Ellsbury destroys him is baserunning.

Coming into today, Hinske was second in the AL behind Manny in OPS, and was the only other player with a 1.000+ OPS.

Let that sink in for a minute...
