1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
2. Jed Lowrie, 2B
3. Jason Varitek, C
4. Kevin Youkilis, 1B
5. Brandon Moss, RF
6. Bobby Kielty, LF
7. Alex Cora, SS
8. Keith Ginter, 3B
Jon Lester, SP

Hideki Okajima, Javier Lopez, David Aardsma, and Craig Hansen are also scheduled to pitch.

The game is on SNY. First pitch at 1:10.

Be prepared to hear about the Santana deal 75869856879 times over and how the Sox held on to Lester. Fuck.

I realize that these games mean next to nothing...but I would really like to see a Sox starter come out and pitch well.

It was Moss who popped up, no Drew.

Real quote from Keith Hernandez: "The Red Sox centerfielder is a name you better get to know, Jason Ellsbury."

This is one of the worst broadcast teams on the east coast.

I actually like Darling and Keith.(Is Darling there?) I think they are one of the best duos in the game.

But our opinions differ. VS was driving me crazy yesterday.

Cohen is a humorless, self-righteous blowhard, which is precisely what you don't want out of a color man.

Hernandez is the homer of all homers.

Together, it's a very tough listen.

Edit: Kevin Burkhardt is awesome though. He'd be a top 5 color guy in baseball right away. Definitely a rising star. And an Eagles fan.

I'll agree with you there. I caught his debut (I believe) last week (Mets v Braves) and he was very enjoyable to listen to. He also does a good job on WFAN.

Lester pounding the strike zone and looks damn good doing it.

His slider is just down and off the plate in a nice spot.

FWIW, gameday doesn't track pitches in ST. IE outs 1 pitch, BB 4 pitches, k 3 pitches.

Cohen's not the color man, he's the play-by-play man. I think he's very good. When the play calls for it he gets excited, whether it's for the Mets or the other team. He gave a great call on Coco's catch against David Wright two years ago.

Hernandez and Darling are good, too.

Of course, your mileage may vary.

Yea, I meant PBP. Well, everyone will have their opinions. I think they're awful. Cohen's constant berating of the DH and playing the game "the right way" gets stale very quickly.
