Casey singles up the middle, advances to 2nd on a passed ball, then to 3B on a Lowrie ground-out.

Casey scores on Moss's line-out to right. Kemp had to run in and dive for it, and the sloth-like Casey beat the bouncing throw home (which got away from Martin anyway).

1-0 Sox

Jacoby just clocked that one to the RF-CF gap. Bounces over the wall for a GR-double. Mirabelli, who was HBP, would have scored but was sent back to 3rd.

Dustin heads to 3rd on a wild pitch with Papi up.

And the Derek Lowe Face makes its first appearance...

He's up to 41 pitches already.

Tiffee makes a great play on a shot by Papi to save a run and end the inning.

TAKE THAT, TOMRICARDO!

Nice diving grab by Ellsbury, ranging deep and to his left on a hard-hit liner. Not a Coco-esque catch, but still pretty sweet.

Nice try robotard.

Yeah, DP's throw looked toward the bag.

Good Timmeh today...K and a flyout get him out of it.

The bats are looking pretty good so far.

Manny walks, Carter comes on to pinch run, Lowell lines a single to left, and Casey smokes a ball off the wall in right-center to score Carter.

Timlin on for the 4th

Wake's line: 3 IP, 1 H, 3 K, 2 BB, 0 R

And Matt Kemp greets Timlin with a shot over the LF fence. He left a fastball slightly inside on the plate, right in his wheelhouse.

Never too early to scoreboard watch (or enjoy a little schadenfreude)...

Reds leads the MFY 6-0 in the 4th. All the runs came off Wang (6 H, 2 BB, 0 K), who didn't get out of the 1st inning. The MFY offense has 2 hits, both by Damon.

Combine his 2007 post season with this performance today...and Wang is a pretty terrible pitcher

His feet do look awkward, as you'd expect him to be more perpendicular to his target, but you have to remember that that photo was taken well into the follow through. We can't really judge from the photo how far the ball is to its target.

Aardsma allows one hit in his second inning of work. Watching on sopcast so it's hard to say much, but it looked like some of the pitches were pretty hittable.

He didn't really keep the ball down in the zone. Left a lot of pitches up. That DP ball bailed him out in the 5th.

Lowrie and Moss line out to the middle infielders, and SWHB gets a walk after getting repeatedly buzzed inside. Ellsbury grounds out weakly to first.
