Will somebody please post some video of the highlights of the drunken interviews? I was offline and missed some of that.

That's probably the front page of every newspaper in Japan this morning.

Unfortunately, the game ended long after press time in Japan. Looking forward to tomorrow's papers, though...

Red Sox signed Schill in Nov 2003 with the expressed idea to bring a championship to Boston. They've won 2.

Sox got to find a way to bring both him and Lowell back. Two classy, talented ballplayers I want on my team.

Maybe not Gagne

Gagne > Lopez in this series.

I'd just like to report that this is every bit as fun as it was in 2004. For however many years I've read idiot sportswriters saying that we liked losing, or that we couldn't handle winning. To those of you out there:

Fuck off.

CHAMPIONS BABY! Now, let's repeat.

I'd just like to take this moment to congratulate the Colorado Rockies. This image really struck me. So many times, it's been our favorite players who've watched from the sidelines...and we who have held our head & shoulders low. We know how these folks feel this morning and I just wanted to be one voice that said Congratulations on what they did achieve this year. They were the best in the National League and should be proud of what they did for their team and their city.

Sorry for the temporary hijack...now back to the celebrating...

Couldn't agree more. Don't understand triumphalism, except vis-a-vis the Yankees and their fans, who have been rubbing our faces in it so long.
Towards everyone else: great job, congratulations on getting there. See you again some time, maybe.

I also agree. Hurdle seems like a classy guy and someone who his players really like and respect. I wish nothing but the best for him and his club - until we meet again. [I did not feel that way about LaRussa and the Cardinals.] I also have to give props to the Rockies fans who did not abandon their stadium to Sox fans down 3 runs in the late innings of game 4. They kept at it and were (temporarily) rewarded by the 2-run homer and made the Sox earn every out.

Is Helton wearing cammo so the Sox players won't see him?

But in all seriousness I was all aboard the Rocky back wagon until the WS started, hats off to them for that amazing run.

Anyone who missed the NESN postgame coverage should check out this link. A lot of clips available. The Wake/Timlin interview is great stuff.

Apparently Dice was very emotional after the game... I guess they unveiled that his wife is 5 months pregnant with their second child.

Mirabelli being interviewed, Alex Cora walks up, and Dougie is asked "What does Alex mean to this team?" Belli answers "about the same as me"

Good to see these guys understand their roles

What do Alex and Dougie mean to this team?

One (Two) of the 25... OOT25... their mark forever!

Kielty... Hinske... Snyder... Batshit... Gagne (!)... OOT25!

Sorry, it just bothers me that this thread doesn't show up under Last Posted. I still can't believe what this team has accomplished in 8 World Series games.

Counting the minutes until Opening Day......
