Even if we have a ten run lead in the 9th I want him in there purely for celebratory purposes.

You're kidding, right?
Seriously.
That was the longest WS game. Seriously? 4:19 oh so close.

Given that he has no business (nor much experience) in RF, I'm willing to cut him a little slack. Hmm?
Of course, especially up 10-5. Doesn't change the fact it wasn't a great play.

One of the amazing thing about 2004 was that nobody had ever come back from a 3-0 defecit in baseball in any series.No. We came back in the 2004 ACLS from an 0-3 deficit, so I was wondering if anyone did in the WS.

Yes, he can be ROY. Not enough at bats.
Yeah, it's a question of the number of at-bats, not how much tail he's getting.

I believe in the Boston Red Sox.

Never won six in a row ALL year, and here we are with 6 in a row in the postseason against the best teams in baseball. Unbelievable. The pro, Bill Mueller would be proud of how they put the Rockies away tonight.

Closer than I would have hoped, but I'll take it. One more to go. See you tomorrow, and enjoy your extra hour of sleep!
The switch from Daylight Saving Time is next week for us, so don't be late tomorrow!

Go Poppelban!
Yup, McCarver's game prep is something to behold. What a surprise he blew the color commentary showing surprise Lopez stayed in to face a righty, when he must be a lefty specialist...

Ellsbury will be considered a rookie for 2008 and will be eligible for any rookie awards.
Could be like Ken Dryden with the Canadiens in the early 1970s, came on too late in the season to qualify as a full rookie year, won the Conn Smythe Trophy in the playoffs, and won the Calder Trophy the next season, his "rookie" year.
Sorry for comparing a young Boston star to a Montreal player, but there it is.

This is what amazes me. They are absolutely playing their best baseball of the whole season right when it counts. I love it.

Please don't smash me for asking, but if the Sox win tomorrow and clinch, when would a victory parade be? my girlfriend and I have off tuesday, and I'm wondering if it would be that quick.

Last one was three days after. I don't remember the one before that, something about being 86 years ago...

Yeah, I think that was a Saturday also. They might wait a bit so as to not royally f--k up a Boston work day.
Oh, and no one's won a World Series yet. That detail remains.
