Gehrig 38 goes for his Hall of Fame legacy right here. 11-2 here we come.

Be savvy. Be wily. Be in control. Be victorious.

Just Win.

Win it for yourself, to further cement your reputation as one of the game's best post-season pitchers.

Win it for the team - the best damn team in baseball, the team that took charge when everyone was counting them out.

Win it for the fans, the ones who were rescued from their misery in 2004, and who now say, "Once is not enough!"

And most of all, win it for SoSH, so that we don't have to have another game thread start from T0mRicard0 again this year.

CLAYTON: Wait, wait. You say that if somebody steals a base in the World Series...
COCO: Yeah, only one, though - the first stolen base - Taco Bell will give one taco to everybody in America.
CLAYTON: Everybody what?
COCO: In America.
CLAYTON: That day?
COCO: I don't know, it doesn't say.
CLAYTON: What the hell you talking about, it's gotta be that day.
COCO: But there are only like two more hours left in the day.
CLAYTON: So what? That's what the deal has to be. How you gonna come in and say 'I ain't got my taco'? You could go to every Taco Bell in the world and say that. 'I ain't got my taco.' How they gonna know?

Some people dream of success
while others wake up and work hard at it.

Vincent Lombardi: Success demands singleness of purpose.

Bunker Hunt: To be successful, you must decide exactly what you want to accomplish; then resolve to pay the price to get it.

Roger Staubach: Spectacular achievements are always preceded by unspectacular preparation.

Michael Korda: In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can.

Russian proverb: : Success and rest don't sleep together.

3 more wins are needed this year. Make that one less Curt. You've given us alot but we need a little more to get there.

Even after last nights shelacking this is a huge swing game. Do what you were born to do big guy.

I wonder how many times Jose has jacked off to Curt "knowing" him. The over/under is 4237 and I take the over. At least by the time the Series ends.

Anyway, games 2-4 are really the key to the series. 4 is looking like a real unknown. Getting a win tonight would be huge, but all they really have to do is get one out of 2-3. Then you get Beckett's game 5 and then 1 more on top.

I originally thought Boston in 6-7 but they could finish this in Denver no problem.

If you have ever even seen a ball bounce you know one thing for certain about tonight's game: Curt Schilling will find a way to win it.

And for the record, if "anyone" wants to plunk the Jeter-lover playing SS for those shell shocked small market Cinderellas it means another $100 for ALS.

Today is October 25. St. Crispin's Day I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery is very strong:

From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

G38 - KICK THEIR ASSES back to the Rockies.
Offense - BRING ON THE POWER again tonight to back up the big guy.
Fenway crowd - keep up the NOISE!

GO SOX - WIN TODAY!
