Not to sound snooty, but I find it hilarious when people talk about a 1210 SAT score as if it's a good thing. (I imagine I'm in company where this is an appropriate comment to make, for once.)

Seriously how is it FOX can't do better than this piece of shit studio crew? It's not like this is their first year doing this...

Why do they feel need to scream? This baseball not the WWF.

The sad reality is that really insightful commentary would bore the crap out of the majority of the audience. At least I'm sure Fox thinks so, and I suspect they're right.

Actually this Jeannie whoever she is seems OK to me so far. I liked her telling Byrnes that she was sorry to see him there. Sort of a funny way of offering condolences.

Last Second Biblical I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery:

"You mountains of Gilboa,
let there be no dew or rain upon you,
nor upsurging of the deep!
For there the shield of the mighty was defiled,
the shield of Saul, not anointed with oil."

Translation: Fuck you Rockies! You shall receive no Gatorade, because you refused to oil the catcher's gear!

There are highly intelligent people who do not do well on standardized tests. Especially back in the day before you could take year-long prep courses for those tests.

The teams match up evenly outside of Beckett?

Is Eric Byrnes on crack?

It's just brutal. It's the World fucking Series and you've got Jeannie Zelasko, Eric Byrnes, Eric Karros, and Kevin Kennedy getting you amped up for it. PATHETIC. Can't they borrow Karl Ravech and Buster Olney?

Question from my wife regarding Jeannie Zelasko:

"Did she get hit in the face or something?"

Byrnes made a good point... I know shock. Game 1 very important for Sox... squash this destiny crap right out of the gate.

Make it so, boys!

Jesus. Where did Fox dredge up this painted whore Zalasko? JEFF FRANCIS GOT A 1210 ON HIS SAT! OMFG! I guess that must be impressive when you're a graduate of the Suzyn Waldman school of telecommunications...

From an SAT Test Prep book I found lying around:

Beckett : Francis = Brady : _______

(Correct answer: Jason Cambell)

Sorry man, couldn't resist. :)

If this means the Skins beat the Pats in the regular season but eventually lose to them in the SB, I'll be one staisfied Skins fan. :)

Actually I agree with him when it comes to Guinness in a bottle. Tarry and harsh. Guinness has to be drawn properly, and then it's as good any malt beverage in the universe when you're in the mood for it.

Good news for XM subscribers -- unlike in the playoffs, they are giving us both the home and away feeds. The Boston feed is on channel 176 and (for some God-only-knows reason) the Rockies' feed is on channel 183. This will be the case throughout the entire Series.

Looks like they're showing the lineups/anthem/first pitch.

THANK GOD.

EDIT: Expecting a big cheer for J.D.

Actually, the Rockies have a very good team. You underestimate them at your peril. Don't forget the 2003 Marlins and the 2006 Cardinals.
