It's on bitches.....

Main board had the same idea, but it's such a wonderful quote I can't miss that opportunity.

Schilling won't let us down. No I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery today. Just more baseball. One game at a time. Just baseball. And hopefully a win.

Oh, and today is my birthday. The big 2-2. Win it for... me!

Same here. Well, OK, the following has been referred to directly in previous game threads as a form of I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery, but who's counting?

Rock Fact: Robert Plant penned the lyrics to In My Time of Dying right after Game 3 of the 2004 ALCS.

And, just because being a Sox fan is pretty much like being in a permanent state of the Blues:

Schilling, you've done it before, and tonight you will do it again. Go forth and dominate! Posted Image

See y'all bitches 'round game time :c070:

Curt is my hero. He has been my hero since he pitched for Philly--and was in the World Series against the BJ's. (Remember the towel-over-the-head?) I followed his career in AZ, and screamed in delight when he beat the MFY's. Whe he came to Boston in 2004, I KNEW that was the year when the RS would win the championship....One of my presents for Christmas, 2004 was a little snow globe with a figure of Curt inside, and it's always here on my desk...

So--Curt Schilling I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery---win tonight!

Since we won the last game without me posting in the game thread, I'm gonna try it again tonight. :)

WIN, WIN, WIN--GO SOX!!!!!!!! :c070:

Edit:Clarity

I remember this, last time we needed Schilling to pitch like he had balls of steel. Tonight, he shall scalp the tribe. We got to Carmona before, we will get to him again. We got some home cooking going, no way we lose tonight, not with Schilling, not at Fenway.

Snow! That's about the only thing that didn't happen in 2004 Game 6. Curt would have handled it anyway, as he will the Injuns tonight.

Dont know if anyone here is going, I wish I was, but if you are, for good measure...

Rattle the cage of Carmona, we know it can be done. I hope to hear Fausto chants while hes in the pen, when he takes the mound, all night...hope the place is rocking tonight, no "cold weather" excuse like last Saturday (which is no excuse in my opinion).

Ellsbury to replace Coco Crisp

Thanks LESDL, that is good news IMO.

Two reasons: Coco is totally and completely lost from both sides of the plate, and I would not enjoy seeing him getting booed in Fenway.

And I think that Jacoby deserves a shot.

Lot's of good karma and I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery swirling around. We are back in Fenway - the best karma of all. We have our hero of the 2004 ALCS on the mound. We will not have any white surrender towels in Fenway. Red Sox fans do not need gimmicks to win games. Our baseball is pure and true.

We have our ducks in a row.

On my desk is a 2004 bobble 'ankle' of Curt Schilling. Sold by the BrockRox to benefit Curt's SHADE Foundation.

Curt will do it tonight. An entire Nation stands with him.

You know, I woke up this morning with a really strong feeling that JD Drew was going to come up with the game-deciding hit today. (Maybe it was just a mental by-product of the Armageddon-style nightmare I was having.) I wasn't going to say anything about it for fear of looking like an idiot, but since you've already brought it up, I'll second it: JD Drew comes up huge today!

Today has the potential to be one of the best sports days of my life - the Sox can stay alive and force game 7, and England can defend their Rugby World Cup title against South Africa! Of course, if I had to choose one arena for the sports gods to smile upon today, it would be Fenway every day of the week.

Speaking of divine intervention, today would be a good time to make sure that we've all taken care of any karmic debts that may have accrued....no matter how well he executes his pitches, Schill is bound to give up a lot of contact today. Whichever way it goes, today will be a testament to the vagaries of BABIP fortune. Let's hope that we continue to get our share of the breaks, as in game 5.

WIN!!!!!!

I'm off to the wedding, will watch the game from some screen inside Mohegan Sun. Will try not to overdo it on the free drinks, if only to keep track of the score, which I hope will be very lopsided on our side.

Billy M. is throwing out the first pitch? That makes me verklempt.

I will talk to you guys during game seven. Enjoy!

Bluto I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery worked in 2004, and it worked Thursday night.

D-Day: War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.
Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...
[thinks hard]
Bluto: the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!
[runs out, alone; then returns]
Bluto: What the fuck happened to the Delta I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Wormer, he's a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer...
Otter: Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.
Bluto: We're just the guys to do it.
D-Day: Let's do it.
Bluto: LET'S DO IT!

LET'S DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery today!

Today is my half-birthday! On my actual birthday, our centerfielder made it a very happy one with a triple down the rightfield line off of Mariano Rivera. I expect similar goodness from our centerfielder today.

Loss-of-virginity I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery! It was on this day, 18 years ago, that I lost my virginity. Susanne I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery! May the Indians be as disappointed today as Susanne was 18 years ago!

I welcome everyone to join loss-of-virginity I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery by bringing happy memories here. I'm pretty sure it will help the Sox win if you post the name of your first lover in this thread.
