Is it me or does everyone else know that Torre turned down the MFYs and won't return?

Beckett looking as vulnerable as Sabathia.

Beckett will settle down. Actually whoever does first will win tonight. C'mon Josh. Settle down NOW!

Can't we get one game where the pitching and offense plays well.

I'm on a jack per half inning pace...is that bad?

Depends--got an extra liver in the fridge?

This complaint about "luck" is unbecoming and has a Yankee-fan like sound to it. They are putting it to us, and we are not responding. If we can get out of this inning, to, we might be ok cause cc still does not look right.

Uhh... sliding is part of the game. Don't be an ass.

No comment on whether he should've slid or not, I'm stuck in class and can't watch at the moment. I just hate the phrase.

That a boy, Josh. Let's get the runs, Taco Bell style.

Edit: I forgot about those losers in the Taco Bell commercial. So ignore that last part.

Yep. Sounds like they gave him an offer he couldn't accept.

We had it.

That was Game 1.

There is no such thing as a Fake Edit, I am just an idiot who can't figure out how to put a secondary thought into my posts without this crutch: K it is. Thanks, Josh. Lil' late, but we'll take it.

It was immortalized in the sweep of the Angels, by Patman's radio caller: Well, I just wanted to say, I'm just so proud of these boys. They played their hearts out this weekend and I'm just so proud of them. They play the game the right way and it's just so great to see them playing so hard and I'm just so proud of them. I'll hang up now and listen.

Yep, I hate it too.

OK then. Not sliding is playing the game the wrong way. Better?

The offense had better not go into their "the bats up my a-hole not in my hands" mode like they have the last 2 games.

There is the "right way" to play the game and the "Manny" way to play the game.

In the overall picture, I'll take the Manny way ( but only from Manny)

Out of that inning relatively cheaply, but Josh looks fairly hittable tonight.

Let's hope he settles down and CC doesn't.

apparently the entire indians team is batting 400 this series. no wonder were losing.

at least it seems that way. and yet vmart is the highest on the team with a .375 avg.

I was unhappy with out 1 run on 3 hits, but with CC looking hittable, I'll bet Cleveland fans are even more uneasy. That killer DP usually is by Cleveland against us.

I have rerun the Manny play on Tivo a dozen times and there is NO WAY a slide makes any difference at the plate.

At least if they're in that mode they can't gidp.

Let's go boys, RUNS.

I haven't seen the replay, but it looked like VMart had the plate blocked and Manny would have grounded to a halt about a foot shy of the plate.

By the time I got back from work, the news had broken, and there were 200+ responses in the Torre Walks thread.

Seeya, Joe, you'd make a great commissioner for MLB. Put Selig's suit out to pasture.

Ball 5 to Kielty as he strikes out. FUCK THIS HOME PLATE UMPIRE. Baseball is screwed, blued and tattoed by these horrible umpires. I thought the NFL was bad, but at least they use instant replay. Die, Bud Selig, die.

Should be first and second, no out. And, why didn't Kielty complain?

If Manny could do a hard hook slide, I think he would have had a chance. Even better, a full body Cannonball would knock the catcher into the middle of next week.

If you're gonna be out at home, take a few of the enemy with you
