Manny must have had a ridiculously short secondary lead to get thrown out by that much. Oh well, CC's already toast. I'm thinking we're all going to have a real good night.

Yeah, that is bullshit baserunning, should have easily scored with two outs. A token slide might have been nice.

1 run, make it stand Josh.

I think he could've been there faster if he didn't stop to take the helmet off...

PS Casey Blake is a prick.

Hard to say--hard hit ball, and Gutierrez charged it well. If it's up the other side of the baseline, it's a run.

Um, so that wasn't really a great decision to run there.

Umm, two out. Gotta go. Gotta get in there. I do not undertsand what took him so long unless he stopped to take a bus.

Yes. Let's lose our best hitter in the 1st inning.

Just because he can hit doesn't mean he shouldn't play the right way. We all know he doesn't, of course. Just sayin'.

How was he out by so much...shouldnt Hale have seen that coming.

He was out by a lot, but I thought it was an excellent throw on the fly by the RF. Two out, and a chance to score an extra run against Sabathia, who may get stronger as the evening wears on. A slide attempt by Manny would have been welcome, though.

I haaate Grady Sizemore.

Ellsbury's got that, and he cuts off the Manny hit that got by Lofton in the top of the inning. He wouldn't be wasted in LF next year.

Anyone else hate this phrase?

"He plays the game the right way. He wears a uniform and a glove. He doesn't try to bat when his team's in the field. He swings a baseball bat instead of a large trout."

They finally showed the replay, and the throw was so high that a good hookslide may have gotten him in safely. Instead, Manny just slowed up and let himself get tagged. He's a good hitter, though.

G-Size can flat-out SUCK IT! Come on, Becks... SACK UP!

T-PronK can (and does) flat-out SUCK IT!

Cabrera showed bunt the first pitch and duped Beckett into grooving a fastball on pitch #2.

It's the same thing Billy Mueller did to Mo Rivera three years ago in Game 4.

We need something other than a HR. Like eighteen hits. Eighteen solo HRs is acceptable though.

"He plays the game the right way."

It was immortalized in the sweep of the Angels, by Patman's radio caller: Well, I just wanted to say, I'm just so proud of these boys. They played their hearts out this weekend and I'm just so proud of them. They play the game the right way and it's just so great to see them playing so hard and I'm just so proud of them. I'll hang up now and listen.

Yep, I hate it too.
