So I say to you, Cleveland, don't let them win tonight. They've got Becket coming back today. Then Schilling will pitch Game 6. Anything can happen in Game 7. You can then take that fraud stuff and put it to bed. Don't let the Red Sox win this game.

This is the biggest moment of Josh Beckett's Red Sox career. If he stands strong and wins this game the series moves back to Fenway. The Fenway Faithful won't let you down in Games 6 and 7. Just don't let us down tonight.

There's been a lot of talk about how we shouldn't "expect" a World Series win. About how we should be satisfied with the AL East and happy that the Yankees didn't advanced further than the Sox. I say screw that. This isn't about entitlement. This is about seeing something right there, right in front of you and wanting it. It's about stepping up in big moments and taking something that you desire.

Screw entitlement. No one "deserves" to win. Not the Red Sox. Not the Indians. Just be the better team. Play like the better team. Play like you want it.

Because I know I do. I want it. And I'm not ashamed of that.

No I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery tonight, just a baseball game. And, hopefully, a win.

I hate to be a curmudgeon, but this isn't 2004.

Every starter after Beckett is suspect.

The bullpen after Paps, Oki, and Timlin is suspect.

The 6-9 hitters are suspect.

I'm not saying they'll lose. I'm not saying there is no chance of them winning 3 straight. But let's be honest: this team's weaknesses are rearing their ugly head at the worst possible time. This is a top heavy team, and if the stars don't produce, this team has no shot.

I hope Beckett, Schill, and Dice-K pitch lights out and Papi, Manny, and Lowell knock the cover off of the ball, and this team goes to the World Series. There is a chance of that happening. But, in my mind, this series is already over.

Call me pessimistic, but I don't like our chances.

Man, honestly, its hard not to be down. But you know something, we got the Cy Young winner going tonight. If we win this, shit, we all know what Schilling can do. Thank you for overriding the overwhelming negativity of my prior post. I'm already mad at myself for posting it. I'm just so damned frustrated right now....

I mean, fuck it. We easily could have swept by now. Game 2 was there for the taking. Game 3, they fucked up a bases loaded, no out situation and ending up losing by 2 runs. Game 4 could have been completely different were it not for Wake stabbing at the ball.

I know this team has weaknesses. I know the bottom of the lineup is a black hole. I know the bottom rungs of the bullpen inspire fear instead of confidence. And I don't care. This team could still win the World Series. As long as there are games left to be played, there is still hope.

Fuck 'em all...all those people who root against the Red Sox just because we have a ginormous fan base...every Yankees fan who wants to see us lose just because we're better than them....every fair-weather Indians fan who ignored their team while they languished in obscurity, only to come back just in time for them to field a quality team....fuck 'em all.

Good evening. In less than twenty-four hours, players from the United States will join others from around the world. And they will be playing in the most important game in the history of Lurker Nation.

Good point in 2004 every starter was suspect, we had 3.90 ERA Pedro, 5.42 ERA Low, Curt Schilling with experimental surgery and a staple in his ankle, and the same suspect Tim Wakefield we have now.

This is a another good point, because in 2004 after Foulke we had a worse Timlin than this year, Embree, Leskanic, Myers and Ramiro Mendoza.

The 6-9 hitters are suspect.

I guess you can't lead the league in offense every year, sometimes you have to lead the league in pitching.

Seeing as all of your comments were based around the series not just this game, you are saying they're going to lose because they're either gonna win three straight or lose, you chose to think it will be the latter.

I think the sox have a realistic shot of winning this series. I have little doubt in tonight's game, as I have all the faith in the world in Beckett. Schilling fucked up in game 2 after a fantastic game 3 in Anaheim, I don't see any way he does that again. It wasn't like he was pitching the same way he did vs. Anaheim and Cleveland just hit him, he sucked. I think there's a decent chance they win game 6 too, and once it gets to game 7 anything can happen and both teams go all out.

Let's add the mediots who've already written off the Red Sox and are smirking in delight at the prospect of Red Sox fans returning to misery.
