I guess Francona stick with "his guys" then. Disappointing. I was hoping to see Ellsbury at the top of the order and Coco riding some pine.

This is the night our Boston Red Sox get back on track.
I'm sick of the throngs of towel-waving yahoos -- shut 'em up, boys.

Not that I'm trying to encourage the J.D. Drew bashers out there, but here are the numbers for Drew vs. Bobby Kielty against Paul Byrd.
Drew is 2-for-10 career off Byrd.
Kielty is 10-for-30 career off Byrd. But, in case you think those numbers might be a product of success a while ago, here are the breakdowns. Kielty was 2-for-6 in 2006 off Byrd with a double. He went 4-for-11 (.364) with a double, two home runs, and five RBI in 2005. Before that, Kielty went 2-for-10 off Byrd, with both hits home runs in 2002 and 2-for-3 in 2001.

oco
risp should be on the bench in favor of Ellsbury, and Ellsbury should be hitting leadoff instead of Pedroia

This team is too talented and has too much heart not to make a run in this series. It starts tonight with #49. Get it done.
