I wonder how badly the MNF game is beating this game in the ratings.

One nice thing if the Rockies end up winning this game - everyone will cue the "only team in baseball history to come back from being down 3-0 in a best of 7 series..." bit. Never gets old.

I love it when it comes up in other sports too.

"The Spurs now have a three games to none lead over the Jazz. The last team in any sport to blow a lead like that was the 2004 new york yankees" or something like that. I just love the idea of some mfy fan being unexpectedly confronted with the ignominy of his team.

Well, almost. The D'backs leaving men on base in more predictable than J.D. Drew grounding out to 2nd in August.

The fact that I'm even watching this game has me starting to question my life choices. Things need to change. I need to change....

Yes, Caray, I too am amazed at the "fearlessness" with which the Rockies pitchers have attacked this lineup. I mean, the way Corpas just attacked Tony freakin' Clark without fear of the consequences. Fearless!

I LOVE that graphic every time.

Ha, that's funny. Apparently MLB has decided that a Game 4 will not be necessary. What's the point?

Will the Rockies offer him arb (and the $) if he's not the closer?

I find myself rooting for any team that has a 3-0 lead, in any sport, just so I can keep hearing that.

Edit: Except for the MFY's of course.

I am pretty sure there is a stat about team's losing extra-inning post season games losing the next game the majority of the time. Anybody happen to know that stat?

Some cause for concern for the Sox tomorrow night

During the post game, the few nuts left in the crowd are chanting "We Love Cal" to Mr. Ripken.

Wow. 19 of 20 is amazing. In fact, were the Rockies to allow the D-Backs to come back, their run would still be remarkable. I doubt that will happen though. Whomever wins the ALCS had better be ready. Colorado, either because they are good or simply hot, don't appear to be an easy foe.

A lot of Tigers fans were overconfident going into last season's WS. Whoever the AL representative is...be wary. These Rockies are on a roll. Who will stop them?

A team that can actually score runs.

Got to give the Rockies some credit for that. And it's not like they don't score runs themselves. Their big bats have vanished this series, and they're still scoring enough runs to win.

Like, say, the Phillies who scored 892 of them this year? Phils only plated 8 in the ALDS.

Or perhaps the Yankees (968) who put up just 5 runs in getting swept in three games at Coors in June? Fogg and Francis each gave up just 1 run.

Or maybe the Red Sox (867) who lost two of three to the Rockies at Fenway (scoring only 5 runs)? The Rockies tagged both Schilling and Beckett for 6 runs and gave Beckett his first loss of the season. Fogg allowed 2 runs. Francis 1.

Go easy on the NL-sucks hubris. The Rockies are a dangerous team with nothing to lose.
