regarding the CLE series going to 5 games:
Sabathia is slated to pitch in game 5 if necessary, unless they decide to have him go on short rest, which makes no sense when they have the lead in the series. Carmona would then pitch game 1 of the ALCS. There are extra days off built into the schedule so even if the ALDS goes 5, Sabathia could come back on normal rest and pitch game 3 of the ALDS and then could pitch game 7. So the only difference would be facing Carmona and Sabathia either in games 1 and 3 (If the series goes 5) or games 2 and 1 (If it goes less than 5), respectively.
