I was going to channel Bob Dylan one more time -- Oh if there’s an original thought out there, I could use it right now -- but then I realized: NO. If it's original, I couldn't use it, because this is Cliché I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery to the Max. All I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery is good, provided that it's the same old I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery. It's time for the tried and true, the old reliable, the steady hand, the tanned, rested and ready. If you've heard it before, let's hear it again. You can't beat a man with a plan. Don't change horses in the middle of the stream, or you'll be up the creek without a paddle. Break out the brooms, it's time to sweep!

How long does it take before a perfect moment becomes a cliché? We are here to answer this important question. How soon will you get bored of this picture? Will it ever lose its magic?

Magical forever.

What Schilling needs to do here is keep the ball down, and command his fastball. The batters need to swing the bats like they've been doing.

edit: apologies if these cliches have been overused already as I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery. I haven't made it through all 134 pages of it's success.

For my own personal enjoyment, I hope they cut to Jose Mota approximately 800 times during this game. Two or three times per half inning, between pitches, even allowing him to straight up announce sections of it. Maybe call balls and strikes - he's got to be better at it than the assclown behind the dish last game.

But lets forget about that. Up 2-0, we head to Los Angeles of Anaheim of California.

Curt Schilling is our man. Sprowl is his sidekick. Together they will emerge victorious, bloody socks and all.

The Sox need to stay focused on the game at hand and stay within themselves.
The angels' backs are up against the wall, so it's time to go for the jugular.
Winners win so just go out there and have fun, and

OK. I won't mention the word "I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery"or the name of Mr.Z.

But I have a DESIRE to win today.....

Your sister sees the future
Like your mama and yourself.
You've never learned to read or write
There's no books upon your shelf.
And your pleasure knows no limits
Your voice is like a meadowlark
But your heart is like an ocean
Mysterious and dark.

One more cup of coffee for the road,
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go
To the valley below.

One more game to sweep the series! Go "good" Curt!!!!!

Heathen I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery is in the house. Allow me to explain. I dropped my son off at Sunday School, and then got into my car and came home so I could catch up on the game threads, which I missed Friday night. Somehow, I am confident that God understands. But let it be known that you people may be the cause of my damnation.

I would like to say once and for all that I am COMPLETELY sold on high definition television. The concert I was at Friday was in an arena sponsored by Comcast. Now, usually, I'm pretty down on the heavy corporate atmosphere at a rock show. But this time, it was a blessing in disguise. Because of Comcast's sponsorship, they had big screen televisions all around the area outside the arena. One of them in particular was a large, state of the art high def tv, with couches around it, showing the MFYs game. Suffice it to say, I missed both opening acts, because I was too busy watching 57 bugs crawling over Joba's neck. I could count them. I could even determine their gender. It was absolutely hysterical. The other televisions did not show it in as much detail, but the dude was getting SWARMED. It was beautiful.

Orlando, I love your new sig. Manny is a bad, bad man indeed.

One pitch at a time.

It's 25 guys playing together.

I was just trying to put the bat on the ball.

He put the fingers down, I just threw what he told me to.

It won't show up in the box score, but that was an important play.

Speed kills.

I am a bad man.

There is a very strong wind here today, can't quite figure it out if it will be blowing in or out, but I would say it's definitely going to be a serious factor if it keeps up...40 mph gusts.

The Yankees need a win badly.

Well I got 4 P's for them: Poise, positive, patience, and perseverance.

In order for the Yankees to win on Sunday and have a shot at winning the series, they need to let the game to come them and not forcing it. Keep your head up, keep pushing, keep playing Yankees. Let your athletic ability take over and stay really loose as a club. Stay cool as a cucumber.

Roger Clemens has a lot of big game experience and he needs to use every bit of knowledge to deliver a quality Yankee outing on the mound.

For the Yankee offense, small bites, small bites. What I mean by that is gotta find more ways to score runs other than hitting the ball out of the ballpark. 3 of the 4 Yankee runs came via the longball in this series so far. How will the Yankees find ways to score other than the home run? Poke and peck singles to all fields, sac flies, etc. Go deep into the bag of tricks to score more runs Yankee offense. Also, make Jake Westbrook work. He's got a sinker that can induce a lot of groundballs, but if the Yankees can lay off that sinker (don't chase it) and make Westbrook work, they have a shot of taking Westbrook out of the game early.

As for the Yankee defense, stay alert, on your toes, and make ALL of the plays.

I wish I could come up with this stuff.

Apparently the winds are blowing IN.

Here's from the Times:

Today...Sunny. Highs from the mid 70s to lower 80s at the beaches to the mid to upper 80s inland. Areas of north to northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph below passes and canyons from Leo carrillo beach to Hollywood...diminishing to 15 to 20 mph by late afternoon.

If, as Sprowl asked, these are the Santa Anas - they can be very gusty.
