That would be awesome if Denver got a blizzard while Colorado was still in the playoffs.

I was in Denver 5 years ago during Halloween week...low teens, snow and freezing rain for 2 - 3 days. It was not a dry cold like you hear about for the Rockies either. Chilled right to the bone. What would they seriously do? Just keep postponing I guess.

According to Gameday Moyer has not thrown a pitch over 85 miles an hour. His fastball sits around 81

ROFL - Orsillo almost made one of the most basic mistakes in baseball before stepping back from the ledge there.

Soft tossing lefties have to be on the "top ten things you hate as a Red Sox fan" list.

When the pitcher in question is at an advanced age like Moyer, he graduates to being a Crafty Lefty™ instead of a "soft tosser."

No particular reason for this observation, but Clint Hurdle hasn't aged all that well:

Either that or he'll strike out looking like a little leaguer on psychotropic drugs....

I knew he's pretty good in the field, but Ryan Howard is playing an impressive first base tonight.

I wasn't expecting a pitchers' duel tonight, so this is a pleasant surprise. Makes a potential elimination game that much more interesting.

So were pitch 1 and 4. He really challenged Howard with the fastball.

Looks like we got a ballgame.

I'll hand it to Moyer- great performance. Good to watch.

Wholeheartedly agree on the announcing crews. Hopefully next series we get a better one......er, well, if that's possible with Fox....

You almost don't want to have to take out Moyer because the Philly bullpen is scary.

You do got to hand it to Moyer.

Odds that Colorado hit's a home run this inning?

Absolutely - if his over/under would have been 4IP I would have taken the under in a heartbeat.

Well, Tom Gordon's in. Who's playing the role of David Ortiz?

IBB to Matsui to get to Tulowitzki - they had the base, but this feels like a bad idea.

He might be the only player Red Sox and Yankee fans alike hate seeing in a pressure spot.

That would be amusing. It's never happened since they went to 8 team playoffs.
