I don't know how many are watching, but first pitch of the game and the Dbacks are already leading. Oh to be a cubs fan.

Hill gets out of it, ugly inning though.

Step 1: Kill Frank Caliendo
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit

Is anyone listening to the Cubs' radio announcers? The color guy is awesome - he's given up trying to announce the game and is concentrating solely on rooting for the home team. It's like listening to Hawk Harrelson, only if he were drunk and rooted for the Cubs.

Did he just kill himself? because that DP was brutal.

He sounds like someone just shot his dog. As Theriot made contact, you could hear him shout, "NO!"

So they start a rally, double play kills it. They start another one with 2 outs, 2 on and Ramirez watches strike 3. Yeesh

Mr. Color Guy's commentary on the failed Rich Hill bunt, transcribed verbatim:

Boo birds are out at Wrigley. Aramis Ramirez just grounded into a DP with 2 runners on to end the inning. He still hasn't gotten a hit this series.

A hit by Livan? The Cubs are high comedy. How did they win the division anyway?

Possible disconnect between Sweet Lou and the Cubs pitching coach. Stockton/Darling are interviewing the Cubs PC as Hernandez is stepping to the plate. Rothschild says he's hoping Hill will get it together and pitch at least into the 6th inning. Two seconds later, Hernandez bloops a single to right and Hill is pulled.

edit: I need to get spellcheck or learn how to type.

Aramis is going after Chase Utley for the most inept post season performance award. Arod would be proud.

I'd like to believe the Brewers would have put up a bigger fight than this, but it is the worst division in baseball, without a doubt.

Jacques Jones getting some vindication. Hit and run turns a routine double play into a double for Jones.

And Soriano fails to deliver. What a shocking, shocking development!

What color is Lou's face going to be when this game is over?

I can't help but empathize - maybe they will emulate the history of the Sox - new owner, better management, playoff success. But you have to feel bad for all the little old ladies sitting in Wrigley that the networks love to show late in games.

Marmol in the 5th?

Kept trying to think of what animal his name reminded me of. Do we have another Rivera - fruitbat on our hands? Nah, he'll never get famous enough.

Two things:

1. Is there any more of a slob of a pitcher to watch in MLB than Livo? Baseball is a sport, with athletes, right?

2. Is there any slower working pitcher than Livo? Guy with Cleveland, Betancourt, maybe?

How the hell do you greenlight 3-1 when the pitcher has issued THREE walks in the innings?! How the hell do you greenlight Mark DeRosa 3-1 period?!?!
