Clowns fans know this guy. They know him well. His team is a 16 point favorite over their team. His team is not only beating teams but sending a message to the rest of the league. Each week is a statement.

Romeo's back. Big Willie is back. Rodney is back as well.

Sunday is double win day. Sox in Anaheim and the Pats at home.

Go Pats.
Go Sox.

Stop 5 on the Patriots Official Super Bowl Tour is against Cleveland. Let's hope their baseball team fares better than their football team will.

WIN

The Browns have given up nearly three times as many points as the Pats have. And the last time they faced a defense anywhere near as good as ours, Pittsburgh, they got blown out.

WIN!!!

And don't run off with an irate coach's Coors Light.

At first glance, this has all the makings of your classic trap game.

-Home game in between 2 tough road games

-Short week following MNF

-Huge matchup with the Cowboys in their house in 2 weeks that some mortal teams might look ahead to

-Opponent who everyone assumes is shitty, but who looks likey they might actually have figured a thing or two out

Add in the former coordinator vs. his old team thing, and there are plenty of reasons for the Pats to be focused on this one.

But, we have the Best Coach in the business to keep the guys focused, and of course Rodney is back and the Blade should be rocking. Pats roll again.

Pure talent will win out in this game and the Pats have alot more of it. Randy Moss is also a 2 TD difference for this team every week. This game likely won't be close.

I sort of hope at one point a team plays a close game against the Pats and we have an opposing coach freak out during the post-game interview like Denny did. That would please me greatly.

I'm not a big fan of the Fidelity Club because many of the fans in there spend more time inside than outside and aren't nearly as passionate as the fans in other parts of the Stadium. That said, this is a day when being in there will have its pronounced advantages, as the Sox game starts a little after 3 PM and I am told that it will be on some of the TVs in there, and importantly will remain on some of the TVs in there until the end of the second round of games ends (around 7:30 PM).

If the Pats are blowing out the Browns, I'm guessing that the outdoor club seats will be less populated than usual from about 3:10 and onward.

Koppen didn't practice today, nor did David Glass Thomas.

Marcellus Rivers has apparently been signed since he was spotted at practice. No corresponding move yet; one would think Thomas might be done for the year or Reiss would have noticed another missing player at practice.

I hope that means that Stephen Neal did practice. Koppen and Neal being out at the same time would be troublesome. Hochtein can't back them both up, and O'Callahan was also out on Monday night, if I'm not mistaken.

As expected, Glass Joe Thomas IR'd, per Reiss.

The team listed Thomas as having a foot injury on today's injury report. Thomas injured the foot in Monday night's win over the Bengals -- it was initially announced as a leg injury.

Wonder if it was the same foot that he had surgery on.

The Original Dave Thomas has more durability, and he's been dead for most of this century.

edit-Koppen missed one play in the Bengals game after his injury; hard for me to believe this is that serious. We'll know more tomorrow, I think, if he does not participate in practice. Worst case, Hochstein centers and Yates at right guard, though you are thin on the interior in terms of backups (Kaczur has experience at guard).

Injury report:

Did not participate in practice
C Dan Koppen (ankle)

Limited participation in practice
OLB Rosevelt Colvin (ankle)
CB Randall Gay (thigh)
RB Laurence Maroney (groin)
G Stephen Neal (shoulder)
WR Donte' Stallworth (knee)
WR Kelley Washington (hamstring)

Full participation in practice
QB Tom Brady (right shoulder)

For the Browns, S Gary Baxter (knees), DT Orpheus Roye (knee), G Eric Steinbach (neck) and TE Kellen Winslow (shoulder) all had limited participation in practice. Also, OLB Willie McGinest (back), OLB Antwan Peek (foot) and P Dave Zastudil (back) had full participation in practice.

I'm pretty sure Neal has been practicing for a few weeks, just to a limited extent.

David Thomas was put on IR today with a foot injury. Too bad, I liked how he looked in the preseason and in limited action last year. Good hands. Pats have re-signed Marcellus Rivers to take his place. Rivers made a bunch of catches in preseason this year.

My first Pats game at the Razor. No idea where I'm sitting, but I can't wait to give Rodney a standing O.

I have a confession to make.

As awesome as Manny's HR was last night, I've known since June that this is the first (and probably the last) time in my life when I would actually prefer a Patriots' Super Bowl to a Sox World Series win. It's probably just because I was in Indy for the AFCCG, and the scars are still fresh, but that's the way I feel. I want the Pats to pull an Alvin Mack and just Kill Everybody. I know it's blasphemous to say this on SOSH, but hey, for once in my life, if I had to choose one, I would choose the Pats.

I feel better now.

This is the first game I won't have a chance to be at a TV for, so you'll have to forgive me for asking, but is there any online way to watch these games? Sopcast has the game listed, but they don't have a link up yet, so I'm not sure there's going to be a feed. Is there another way to watch online?

He's out, along with Koppen, Gay, Stephen Neal, and Colvin, along with a couple others that I missed on the pregame show.

It's hard to say if Belichick and the boys are just overprotective early on in the season against what should be an easy opponent like the Browns, but Maroney's inability to regularly stay on the field has to be at least a little concerning.

Tom Jackson hates the Patriots so much. Today he has done the following: termed the Pats a BCS team (i.e. winning by so much actually hurts them), said the Pats' offense "verges" on great, and questioned the Pats SB wins (citing the '01 Rams rematch in the SB as evidence of video being used to the Pats' advantage) in a discussion comparing the '07 Pats to the Pats SB teams.

I am just glad BB told him to fuck off in 2003.

They said it on the pre-game with Burton and Felger, but, based on Hunter's post, looks like I'm wrong. And glad that I am.

Pats on the Computer, Playoff Sox on TV-

Sundays like this are the antithesis of those awful "beginning of the Spring" dead period in sports where there's nothing to watch but the NBA and the NHL.

BB wont run up the score on Crennel.

But the offense looks pretty good so far.
