Winning is fun, but this team will not rest on it's laurels. Today, their most seasoned veteran takes the hill to continue what Buchholz, Matsuzaka, and Beckett have started. It has come full circle, and the unbridled enthusiasm of youth makes way for the experience, calm, and wisdom of Curt Schilling.

I hope he drills Matt Stairs right in the ass.

This streak does not stop today.

Part of me is tired of not being able to post in the gamethreads. This is the part of me that needs to express my feelings to other people during a game; the part of me that needs to refute someone's ridiculous statements or vehemently agree with another's; the part of me that feels the need to be refuted and agreed with.

In the end, refuting and disagreeing with myself - out loud - has had to suffice. And when it comes to the Red Sox I would give up anything for a victory - including my mental stability.

Keep me talking to myself Red Sox.

Make this happen:

And we can clean up the mess afterwards with this:

How anyone could have recorded the following song... I do not know. Just the chorus is enough to sendshivers down my spine, and those shivers are likely caused by a cold blast of winter leaking out of hell any time this song is mentioned.

BUT THE ROD STEWART I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery LIVES ON

and will continue to live on until the very end.

Looking out on the morning rain
I used to feel so uninspired
But when I knew I had to face another long, long day
girl I used to feel so tired

Before the day I met you
life had been so unkind
but you're the key to my peace of mind
'Cause you made me feel, you made me feel
you made me feel like a natural man

When my soul was in the lost and found
you came along to claim it
I didn't know, I didn't know just what was wrong with me
till your kiss helped me to name it
Now I'm no longer doubtful of what I'm living for
but if I make you happy I don't need to do more
'Cause you made me feel, you made me feel
you made me feel like a natural man

Oo baby, baby look what you have done to me
Can't you see that you made me feel so good inside
Don't you know that I just want to be
close to you, you made me feel so alive
'Cause you made me feel, you made me feel
you made me feel like a natural man

Baby I ain't doubtful of what I'm living for
but if I make you happy I don't need to do more
'Cause you made me feel, you made me feel
Well you made me feel like a natural man

In honor of the magic number being 17, I bring you the immortal Winger:

I saw sparks fly, from the corner of my eye
And when I turned, it was love at first sight
I said please excuse me, I didn't catch your name
Oh it'd be a shame not to see you again
And just when I thought she was comin' to my door
She whispered sweet and brought me to the floor, she said
I'm only seventeen, but I'll show you love like you've never seen
She's only seventeen, daddy says she's too young, but she's old enough for me
Come to my place, we can talk it over, oh everything going down in your head
She said take it easy, I need some time, time to work it out, to make you mine
And just when I thought she was comin' to my door
She whispered sweet and brought me to the floor, she said
I'm only seventeen, you ain't seen love, ain't seen nothing like me
She's only seventeen, seventeen
(Solo)
Such a bad girl, loves to work me overtime
Feels good (ha), dancin' close to the borderline
She's a magic mountain, she's a leather glove
Oh she's my soul, it must be love
She's only seventeen, still she gives me love, like I've never seen
She's only seventeen, daddy says she's too young, but she's old enough for me
She's everything I need, daddy says she's too young
But she's old enough, old enough for me

5 hours from now I'll see you all at that million dollar bash. More Bob Dylan I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery...

Well, I'm hittin' it too hard
My stones wont take
I get up in the mornin'
But it's too early to wake
First it's hello, goodbye
Then push and then crash
But we're all gonna make it
At that million dollar bash
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
It's that million dollar bash

I guess Ellsbury/Pedroia at the top of the order was too good, I wonder if we'll see it again all season. Cora can play every day for all I care, but not until after we've clinched. Seriously Tito what makes you think Pedroia ever needs a break? Kid could play baseball 72 hours straight and still have the energy to scream "Fuck yeah!" when he makes a play.

At least he didn't bat Cora 2nd again. I can't wait until the playoffs, if only to see a starting lineup without Cora...ever.

He hasn't played since the 2nd and we are starting to enter the "rest a starter every couple of games" portion of the schedule. I imagine Lowell will sit tommorows game..I also wonder if we'll see Keilty at 1B.

No way. Jacoby's rugged good looks can mesmerize and distract opposing pitchers is Titos secret weapon. Even the straightest man cannot escape its overwhelming power.
I wouldnt be surprised if Drew is told to wear a cardboard cutout of Jacoby's face to give him a fighting chance to get a basehit.

Yes, Moss has taken grounders @ 1B in AAA but Olsen[LHP] goes on Thrusday. It would be a good day to get Big Red in there.
