Beckett will continue his road dominance.

Bedard will shit the bed.

The final stretch is near.

Put the Yankees out of their misery.

Today Theo will put the final pieces together for a championship run.

In the meantime follow me to freedom. Behold the power of the monkey!

I find myself just hoping we survive till 4 pm without the MFY having pulled off a trade that helps them and the Sox having done something stupid. Come on come on come on...

Time to resume our dominance over these birds... Beckett rolls and Papi goes deep into the pen...

Remember the last time the O's were here on Mothers' Day? Yeah, I know you do...

Allright, boys, keep the shit going! It's time to bring out theBIG BATS! The Blue Jays are lying comfortably in their grave, and now it's time to bury those cocksuckers in the Bronx! The White Sox should eat them up this week (remember, MFY, the White Sox are NOT the Royals, Orioles and Rays). I want this lead back up to double digits by Thursday, thank you. NOW, GET OUT THERE AND WIN, MOTHERFUCKERS, WIN!!

GET 'EM A BODYBAG, YEAH!!

Whatever happened to Chong? Do himself in with bad stuff?

Beckett vs. Bedard, sounds like a low scoring nail biter. Thing to do, Josh, is to not let any of them guys with a bird on their hat come down to home plate from the third base side unless Jason Varitek has the ball firmly in his hand ready for their front fucking teeth!

Chong got arrested last year or the year before for trafficking, I think.

As long as they heet thee buoll! I looked at SOSH for the first time at about 12:00 PDT, and I thought I saw that both Gagne and Dye were in the tent. Really happy about Gagne with Donnelly out for the year with Tommy John surgery scheduled (saw that in the Herald, that is right, isn't it?), but wishing we got Dye or some other big bat. Guess Dye wasn't to be, too expensive or they were afraid he'd be a sulker like Payton.

Win this game!

On this day in history:

Marquis de Lafayette was named major-general of the U.S. Army in 1777, paving the way for French folks to kick some British ass in the Revolutionary War while starting the most-strained foreign relationship we've had with any country. Friggin French.

Posted Image

The Nazi Party won 38% of the vote in German elections, paving the way for French folks to get their asses handed to them by German, only to have Americans and British bail them out, saving the world, alienating the Russians, while creating the most strained situation in foreign affairs history. Friggin' Nazis.

J.K. Rowling was born (as was the figment of her imagination, Harry Potter), paving the way for millions of people to start reading again, while also giving Star Wars geeks something ELSE to dress up in. Friggin' Geeks.

Don't forget the Poles, the Danes, the Norwegians, the Balkans, the Baltics, the Belgians and the Greeks. Not to mention so many others. And that's just the countries Hitler conquered.

Lineup:

Lugo SS
Pedroia 2B
Ortiz DH
Ramirez LF
Youkilis 1B

I always wonder weather Tito actually believes in the 'pitcher vs batter' type stuff, despite the small sample size or if it's just excuse to rest a guy. Works either way.

Anyway, Josh 'F****ng' Beckett wants a WIN godd*ammit!

Eric Gagne and Kevin Garnett, welcome to Boston! :bravo: :bravo:

The servers have been quaking all day. The poor thing will probably have conniptions under the weight of the game threads. The commentary on the Garnett deal centered on the Celtics' dependence on three 30+yr stars and a painfully thin bench. So be it: the future is now, and in the long run, we're all dead.

Great day to be a member of Red Sox Nation (albeit for the low price of $13.95)! Kudos to the FO for getting Gagne for the stretch run while holding on to our top prospects. MDC, Okaji, Gagne and Papelbon makes for a pretty daunting bullpen. What a freaking steal, now the MFY fans know how we felt about them getting Abreu for a bunch of nothing last season. Let's keep the positive I am unoriginal and unfunny. Please put me out of my misery going with a beatdown of Bedard and the O's tonight.

WIN.

I’m just as happy that Jermaine Dye isn’t coming to Boston, because maybe now the team will call up Ellsbury as 4th outfielder. His defense could go a long way.

Brian Roberts is a pretty good 2B  , up there with Polanco and Pedroia in the AL.

Why does Tito now insist on leading off Lugo against lefties? He does know Crisp is a switch hitter right?

Oh and that catch wasn't all that.

There is no such thing as a Fake Edit, I am just an idiot who can't figure out how to put a secondary thought into my posts without this crutch: That first strike to Pedroia was a bit iffy, of course, I'm impressed that worked, so it balances I guess.

Count me in 'no dye' crowd also. Here's hoping Wily Mo makes Chicago regret not taking him!

Interesting thing about Bedard. Check this vs this. He's still good, but I think we have some chance here.

I think that Theo and Tito really believe Eric Van’s Lugo Leadoff/Fenway data. Now that he’s out of his slump, they’re back on the program: Lugo leads off unless he goes back in a slump.
