It's a tough one for me. United or Chelsea? Loyalty to the North rises above hatred of United. So maybe Bolton will hand United the title for the 3rd time.

Of course Chelsea thumped us twice for their titles. I hate them.

Come on You Whites!

I was really glad to see Giggs put one home today. Fitting.

Just got home from a day out in the city that began with watching the game with Skrub and around 100 other people.

United 2 Wigan 0

United are Champions again after defeating Wigan and finishing with 87 points on the season. Ronaldo slotted home a penalty after Rooney was taken down in the box, Bruce complained about the decision after the game but it was pretty clear (I thought Rio *may* have gotten away with a hand ball early). With around 10 minutes left, Ryan "10 Championships" Giggs ended it with a calm finish after a Rooney pass caught the Wigan D offguard.

1 more game left.

fake edit: When the interviewer asked Ferguson if United could surpass Liverpool's record he said, "They are a young squad...I think they can do it."

Pique off to Barca. Speculation is that Silvestre and Saha will be gone in a few days.

A couple of tabloids say that United want their transfers done rather soon, before Ferguson is off on holiday.

Targets have included: Berbatov, Alves, Fabiano, Ramos, Lahm, and Owen. Id love to see Alves and Fabiano.

Something interesting: Thierry Henry was very close to joining United last week for 10 mil.

Henry was very close to retirement last week. At least that's what I read in Le Monde. [/pretentious reference]

Id love to see Alves and Fabiano.

He's been very good at Sevilla, but I can't get over how terrible he was at Porto. Just a waste of space there. He's bombed in France and Portugal and been very good in Brazil and Spain. I wouldn't want to pay top dollar to find out which guy he would be in England.

To be honest, they don't really need a stud striker as much as one who will fill in when Rooney and Tevez need rest. Someone who is a little better and a lot more healthier than Saha will work. I hope Fabiano can be that guy.

Alves is the one who I'd kill for.

I agree... just need a striker who can lead the line, and give them a different option for when they want to play a bit more direct. It's a shame that Saha is so fragile because he's really perfect for that they need. Strong enough to hold it up, pacey enough to not slow down the fast breaks, a decent finisher, and not so big a star that he'll take umbrage if he isn't in the team every week.

Where was the Henry story from btw?

In the Independent today there's some written snippets of at TV interview that Sir Alex has done with Sky TV. No doubt it will appear elsewhere in due course. Fantastic article...I don't like Man U as such but Fergie is a legend and most of what comes out of his mouth is always worth listening to or reading.

ManU has agreed to a fee with Cardiff for Welsh youngster Aaron Ramsey. He's due in to Manchester for a physical and to discuss personal terms.

I read one report that another bigger club has agreed to a fee with Cardiff as well...
