watah is watah no matter how dirty it is....

bats need to wake up a bit though - giving me the willies thinking about tight games all summer.

It's Papelbon's job. He was up as well. Could you imagine the shit storm if Francona play Oki and the Sox blew it? Papelbon is a more traditional closer with high K numbers and an explosive fastball. Lets see what happens.

Didn't realize Paps was up as well......

Me, too. It was also the day, if you recall, that T McVeigh was put down. I watched the coverage and then made the drive to the LSAT.

Hold those Skankees back! G38 in for the series win tomorrow.

You make it sound like he was a dog. In which case, you'd be right.

That was the (subtle) intent. Ridding the world of that SOB added at least four points to my score.

Did it save you from becoming a lawyer?

Now THAT's bad karma!

OK, I rescind. It's (N-1) karma after all.

They're disgusting, but I have managed, after the thrill of victory, to start fretting about our offense. Even though Drew got the sac fly that won the game, I am concerned about Manny being walked to get to Drew. It still seems as tho Manny has no protection in the lineup. Can't wait until Drew starts scaring the opposition a bit more.

I'm also concerned about the offense, but you can't let that IBB concern you. It was a lefty on the mound, there were no outs, they would have been NUTS to not intentionally walk him. It sets up the DP, it preserves the lefty/lefty matchup... even if Drew is hitting .400 you make that move.

I was worried about the 'sub Cora for Pedroia' thing if we went to x-tra's, but...hey. Honestly, I think it's just a bad day. It's almost the same lineup we used before and Pedroia and Drew were slumping then.

How do you think you did? I think I did ok, but we'll have to wait and see.

Did it save you from becoming a lawyer?

I think only the FBI can do that at this point.

Took my niece to the park last night--very fun game, rather novel to be hearing Dirty Water at 9:30 instead of eleventy:30. Papelbon was just electric--crowd on its feet nearly the entire time for him.
Offense continues to be anemic. Worrisome.
