I can't believe that MLB would actually start a WS ballgame at 9:45pm local time. The game has to be called every way but officially.

"It's a dirty era folks, deal with it. Of course, I think the segregation era in the "good old days" was much worse, and I think the greenie era gets too much odf a pass as well. The false image of baseball as a pristine and pure game throughout history that many continue to put forward is actually pretty fucking annoying."

The bottom line on The Deuce has PPD for the game.

...and it's up at MLB.com.

No details, though. I assume the travel day is history now.

The only thing that would have been more improbable in baseball history than Bengie Molina hitting for the cycle, ending with a stand-up triple, would have been if Eddie Gaedel had hit an inside-the-park home run in his one and only career at-bat.----Fiskian Pole Shot, game thread 7/16/10

Human clones, stem cell research, the rise of anti-intellectualism and the impact of PCR on network television. Discuss.

C'mon let's play ball!

Jeff Cy-pan hits a bump on the way to Cooperstown. Tigers Rule! Well at least...tonight.

Scooter's back by popular demand.

Now I know what a curveball is.
The genius of the Snuggie is that is an entirely useless product that solves a problem that did not exist. There is a lot more in that single sentence than meets the eye. Lots of infoco products are useless. In fact, I’ll just break away from generalities and tell you that they’re all useless on some level. Some are entirely useless. Some are mostly useless the way that Wesley was mostly dead. But they’re all useless.

Tonight the world realizes the the original Suppan has dispatched his pod-person double. He falls heavily back down to earth.

When Scooter came on my roommate (who doesn't watch baseball at all) walked into the room and said "WHAT THE F***!?!?!" I think that pretty much sums up Scooter.

And I made it home too. Just in time to see Scooter. Fox's version of the annoying Microsoft paper clip.

Let's play ball.

Tigers - Remember the old SOSH adage: Hit, Run, Score, Catch. Just the basics.
