Yeah, tipped his cap 2 or 3 times

Tavarez's third time through the order and the Royals figured him out. Sounds like Kyle Snyder. We've got two long relievers next year.
With their powers combined....
Tavarez starts, snyder can finish.

Yeah, tipped his cap 2 or 3 times
Looked like he had his mind up before he came off the mound
That must have been the quickest tip of the cap I've ever seen in any Sox game in about 20 years.

I love these moments of the real Red Sox.
(As opposed to the since the end of July possessed by aliens Red Sox.)

One of Snyder's best games was in relief of David Wells in one of his rehab starts -- knee-bending curves from both sides of the plate. Tavarez's sinker/slider combination would make a nice change of pace from Snyder's curve/fastball/change toolkit.
And on another note, nice to have you back, Papi!

Really, what more can we look forward to than him breaking Foxx's record?
MVP would be nice.

MVP would be nice.
He really should get it. A most valuable player is not someone with 12 Home runs and no range in the field.

Then who was that in red and white the last two nights?Papi!
I love these moments of the real Red Sox.

Sounds like you're saying they should have gone for it this year big time. I kind of agree, a bird in the hand and all that, but the injuries late this year might have killed their chances anyway.Papi's so good that's why the fuckups in assembling this team piss me off. This not just another Sox team that missed the playoffs it is the Sox team with the best, no two best hitters they have ever had in my life time.

Same was true in the Pedro era, except for his being maybe the best pitcher ever during a few of those years.Papi's so good that's why the fuckups in assembling this team piss me off...
Maybe this will pay off the same way.

Might explain some of the later non-moves by Tito as well as his poor offensive performance since his return. There are a lot of things to question about Coco, but you've got to think (hope/pray) he'll rebound a good bit next year.
Edit: clarify

Article on MLB.com now about Crisp's finger injury flaring up last night in his second at bat (and that it hadn't fully healed yet).

Edit: clarify
Too bad Tito will undoubtedly split up Coco's down time between his son Gabe and Wily Mo.

if rudy was there earlier this year than corey's spot is a lock
At least Tito is making decent bullpen decisions today. Unlike Mr. Torre, who just can't wait for Scott Proctor to have Tommy John surgery.

There is a certain ammount of pride knowing you single handedly ran a career into the ground
