The Hot Stove is getting going. It's time for SoSH (and lurkers) to start making predictions and wild-assed guesses about who's going where. The rules are pretty simple: You have until the day after the World Series ends to make your picks and to change or edit them.

For questions 1 & 2 where you are asked to list players signing via FA and trade, deals that are officially announced before the contest deadline are not eligible for points (ie no Mark Ellis). Players who are eligible to reach FA who sign extensions are eligible (so you could have counted Ellis). Also, only players signing MLB deals will count.

The person with the most total points will win the patented OCD SS prize, a piece of artwork that you're sure could've been done by your child, to go along with the respect and admiration of your peers on this board.

General

1. List 10 free agent signings (player and team signed with). 3 pts each.

2. List 10 players and traded in the offseason and their new team. 2 pts per player, and 1 pt for correct team (you do not need to say who they are traded for.)

Red Sox

3. Who will get the most guaranteed money from the Red Sox this off-season (extension or new contract)? 2pts.

4. Who will the Red Sox loose in the Rule V draft? (name up to 3 players) 4 pts per correct name, -1 pt for incorrect name.

5. Who will the Red Sox pick in the Rule V draft? (name as many as you wish) 4 pts per correct name, -1 pt for incorrect name.

6. Which player(s) Who finished 2008 on the Red Sox will Retire? (name as many as you wish) 2 pts per correct name, -1 pt for incorrect name.

7. When will the Red Sox first pick be in the June draft (ie name their first pick)? 2 pts.

BIG NAME CONTRACTS: For each player, give the number of guaranteed years he signs for (2 pts) and his yearly, guaranteed salary as defined by AAV (within $500K in either direction -2 pts). You do not have to name the team they sign with.
