I hope you're right DJ, it's going to be hard for this team to win it all.
DJnVa
Sure, but it's not going to be "easy" for any team. Might as well go with the home team. They aren't really that much bigger of a long-shot than anyone else.

So, how many games will this series go, do you think?
RingoOSU
Hmm, I matched DJ's predictions exactly.

You expect the lower seeded team to win all 4 division series? Has that ever happened?

Edit: Yep, in 2002. Can you believe that in 2002 three teams won over 100 games (A's, Yankees, and Braves) and none won their first-round playoff series? Jeez, the playoffs are a complete crapshoot.

Edit2: I just did a little further digging, and it turns out that in this decade 10 teams have finished at or above 100 wins. Of those 10, only 5 won their first round playoff series, and ZERO won the world series. I guess that's not all that surprising, but i would have expected the number to be more akin to a 2nd or 3rd seed losing early in March Madness.

Brackets rule.

Rays, Red Sox, Cubs, Phillies

It should be known that I'm terrible at this. In '06 I picked all seven series wrong.

I think the Sox win in 4. Lester wins tonight, Dice-K pitches decent but we lose on Friday....then Beckett and Lester win at Fenway.

And I have no excuse, with web access from my iphone, I can even look at NSFW posts while at work. I just forgot to check this forum.

Congrats to the 7 teams that predicted the LCS correctly.

Good thing I didn't put any money on any of these series, I could have won something.
