Starting tonight, Ken Griffey Jr. reminds America he still plays baseball and brings out the boomstick with Jim Thome.

I’m waiting for Ozzie to call Tropicana Field a piece of shit ballpark and to somehow mock Maddon for the glasses he wears. I take the White Sox in 4.

Percival may not be on ALDS rosterQUOTE
Rays closer Troy Percival said on Wednesday before a workout at Tropicana Field that he does not expect to be included on the Rays 25-man playoff roster for the American League Division Series.
"I asked and they said as of right now it doesn’t look like it, but right now we’re not 100 percent positive yet," Percival said.
Rays manager Joe Maddon would not confirm nor deny as the team will wait until the 10 a.m. Thursday deadline to annoucne its roster.
Percival, 39, indicated he is healthy enough to pitch and believes the decision was made to get another player on the roster, not work around his previous ailments.
Dan Wheeler trying to close out playoff games would not fill me confidence if I were a Rays fan.

What? There would be no question in my mind who to pull for assuming the Sox didn't need the Rays to lose for the division or the wild card. In a game played in a vacuum, I might even buy a Rays hat for the night.

I spent a week in Chatham this summer and the natives still talk about Longoria and his days as a member of the A's. Chatter among the fans was that not only was he destined to be an all star but everyone of them talked about him being a great, humble kid.

I don't root for fucking AL East teams except the sox. There is no difference between the sox losing the AL East to the Yankees, or the Orioles, or the Blue Jays, or the Rays. They are all the enemy and exist only for the Red Sox to trod upon.

I wish we had these two calling the game last night. That's more of a statement about the broadcast team we had than it is about DO and Reynolds. Though, I was in the camp that thought Reynolds was the best part of BBTN before he got the axe.

Can you imagine the outrage if the Sox play the Rays in the ALCS and a game is decided by a ball hitting one of the catwalks. There will be mutiny.
Someone might have to rent a Ryder truck and park it outside the Trop.
