The weather looks absolutely awful for this weekend. Clinching before this series was a very, very good thing.

Hopefully they'll do whatever it takes to get these games in by the end of the weekend. Start at midnight if you have to. No playoff team should be required to play meaningless games during the crucial rest period prior to the ALDS.

So essentially, if the Sox don't get their games in, and Tampa clinches, they don't have to play the games? I wonder if the Player's Union would object considering some players might be on the verge of triggering bonuses (I don't know if that is the case).

So if the Sox lose or the Rays win, it might be very likely tomorrow nights game is never played. Any ideas what the Sox do with ticket holders if that's the case?

I would guess store credit. That is you would probably get tickets to a game next year. I think it would be too hard to refund everybody.

Given the weather forecast for the next 3-4 days, what we all should probably root for is 1 Rays win.

I don't know if this has been brought up, but...

They refund everybody if post season games don't get played. I don't see why this would be any harder. Logistically I think it would be harder to give ticketholders credit during the crazyness of the first day of ticket sales, and I don't think they'd give everybody presales. That doesn't even take into account what you do with season ticket holders.

Keep it going, guys - let Lester notch another win, and make TB sweat out clinching the division. Kick ass, but be smart and stay healthy.
