Game Plan: Work the Count, Work the Count, Work the Count! Of course Tiki Barber would say something else. Don't let Kazmir get easy outs, let him go a maximum of six innings. Their bullpen might have pitched amazing last week, but I'm still not sold. It's better than facing Kazmir.
I think the key player in this series is Jacoby Ellsbury. He was getting on base and we were scoring runs. He can create havoc for a pitcher, and he can really help Dustin get fastballs to hit. Furthermore, we've been manufacturing runs lately. I know it's against our style, and it doesn't really make sense "giving up an out," but it's been working. If you can rally rally, but if you've got to manufacture a run, do it! We need all the runs we can get.
Someone want to roll the dice and see which Dice-K we get tomorrow? I think I would actually take no runs and five innings tomorrow, no matter how frustrating he is.

"This guy is a latter-day version of Pete Rose," says Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon. "He's not big enough. He's not fast enough. He's not strong enough. But he'll beat you every single night. The way this guy plays the game is how Abner Doubleday drew it up. He could have played in any era in baseball history."
Joe Maddon is a retard. His team should be beaten for this.

True test for the TB "fan base". If they can't get at least 30,000 people out for the most important series in their franchise history, well then, they just don't deserve the prize. Of course if they do get 30K+, it will probably be 40% sox fans....

The beauty of the Rays taking 2 of 3 at Fenway is watching their faces when they lose 1st place after they collapse in the last week of the season.
Sox mustn't take 1st this week, but hover just behind tasting the blood.

The only time this season the attendance exceeded $30,000 was when the Red Sox or Yankees were in town. It's been so bad that Kazmir publicly called out the Rays' fans a couple of weeks ago. Screw the Rays and their disinterested fans. Sox fans will show 'em how it's done.

If the Sox just keep winning series as they go things will fall into place. Can the Rays keep pace and win as many series right to the end? I don't think they can. This is the home stretch and it's ON right up to number 162. I hope that the umpires put a lid on the slow down tactics of TB's skipper. Some of these mound visits are BS.

Sep 15 2008, 03:21 PM
I'm not going to lie, I like this line up. I would may be consider having Lowrie batting first, but having the double team of speed with Crisp and Ellsbury is enticing as well. As long as somebody tells Crisp to make sure he sees some pitches, I'm fine with it. As I said last night (this morning), we need to work the count like crazy. We need Kazmir out as soon as possible.
Also, put on your seatbelts. It's going to be a bump ride. It almost always is with Daisuke behind the wheel.

So after this series we play Toronto, Cleveland and New York for a total of ten games.
Tampa plays Minnesota, Baltimore, and Detroit for a total of 12 games.
Both teams have 88 wins.
So we pretty much need to sweep this series to win the division.

Daisuke will have 75 pitches through 3, but will still end up going 6 giving up 3R 2ER 4BB and 7K's.
Sox win 5-3.

I woke up this morning feeling pretty elated. After a few minutes I recalled it was because of a dream I just had.
In the dream I was hanging with Big Papi. I asked him if I could pray for his wrist, to which he surprisingly replied, sure.
So we clasped his lefts hands. I looked down and could see his scar. then started praying that his wrist would be
completely healed. Both of us teared up. Then the dream ended and I woke up. I'm hoping for a big series for the
