I gave up a free ticket to the UConn game today so I wouldn't miss any of this double header. The Sox thanked me by shitting the bed in the first game. They owe me a win here.
Lefty on the Mound
I'll be there tonight with a couple other SoSHers. We'll try to get the crowd noise volume up for y'all and sit on our hands to stifle the wave.

Hopefully the Blue Jays will not be conductinng a Colon-oscopy this evening.
Foulkey Reese
Colon had better not get his shit pushed in tonight.

rembrat

The 8, 9 and 1 batters make me cry.
Rooster Crows
Well... this afternoon sucked all around. Take this one tonight guys - give Colon some breathing room by getting a many hits early, and otherwise kicking ass. Maybe MFYs will also wake up for a few hours and take one as well.

GO SOX - WIN TODAY!
The_Powa_of_Seiji_Ozawa
Shouldn't George Kottaras be catching Colon tonight? The only reasons for Cash to be on the team is Wakefield, and Cash has gotten enough offensive numbers these past 2 days to fill his stat sheet for the next month.
The_Powa_of_Seiji_Ozawa
Oh I see George Kottaras being interviewed by Heidi Ho.

I think Kottaras is gay.

It sort of answers itself, non?

Ells with a leadoff walk. Let's build on that.

Pedroia couldn't look any more comfortable at the plate than he does now.

He looks pretty comfortable at second base too.

Kotteras would look comfortable with my dick in his mouth.
Fratboy
HEY PAPI:

STOP SUCKING.
FelixMantilla
Geezuz was that horrible.
Snodgrass'Muff
Wow... did I just hear boos for Papi?

Edit: Oh, Youk was on deck.

Seriously, he has to be approaching some kind of record for LOB's in a single day.

Regrettably, the Toronto station didn't carry the interview. I daresay it was... promising?

Um, I think you heard "Youk"s.

I know Ortiz is having issues with his hand, but is it too much to ask him not to swing at garbage in the dirt? sad.gif
Pearl Wilson
Litch and his damnable sinkers.
jtn46
Let's swing at more pitches in the dirt. Those are definitely hittable pitches, right?

Yeah, I jumped the gun. I edited my post.
jtn46
Hustle!!
Fratboy
That was the most awesomest play in the history of ever.

PEDROIA FROM SECOND? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Sprowl
A gift. No RBIs, but we'll take them anyway.
Snodgrass'Muff
I love that little man. Great head's up play.
ragecage
2 runs score on a past ball that didn't go that far. nice!
FelixMantilla
GREAT camera shot on high from NESN. High quality work.
Fratboy
I swear to God, I'll put up Pedroia's instincts up against ANYONE'S in baseball.

ANYONE'S.

He deserves Cora's genius tag.
trekfan55
Descriptions please?

Pretty please?
PedroSpecialK
That was fucking awesome
E5 Yaz
As he scored, Pedroia called Youk a slow sonovabitch

Past ball, Ellsbury scored... errant throw and Pedroia (who was rounding third at the time) turned on the jets and scored before they could recover.

Passed ball. Zaun muffs it near the on-deck circle. Ellsbury scores. Litsch doesn't catch it, bounces, can't locate it, Pedroia races around. No throw.

Awesomeness everywhere.

It's in his contract. He also gets the C tag from Tek and the MVP tag from Papi.

Wild pitch from Litsch bounces in front of Zaun, then away from him to his right. Ellsbury dashes for home while Zaun scrambles for the ball and makes a wild backhanded flip to Litsch covering the plate. Ellsbury submarines Litsch on his slide to home, the ball goes behind Litsch to the third base side of home, and Pedroia makes it home before the 3B (?) makes another wild toss to whoever is covering the plate by now.
FelixMantilla
I think the key was Pedroia never slowed down around third base but was busting a gut the entire way.
MartyBarrettMVP
Thank God for that WP or we might have had another fucking squander
PedroSpecialK
Daisuke-esque first for Litsch - 30 pitches

Much better than my description, but

1) PB or WP?

2) and it was to Zaun's left. Back... and to the left...

PLUS that total cluster-fuck at home on the run-scoring play.

1) not sure how they scored it. I thought it bounced in the dirt in front of Zaun.

2) sure? I thought that Zaun's flip back to Litsch came from the first base side, which is how it ended up wild on the third base side when Litsch couldn't hang on.
FelixMantilla
Nice range by Cora.
Pearl Wilson
Would Lowrie have gotten that?
trekfan55
Thank you all for the responses. It really helps while I'm in a corner of the world that could give two shits about MLB.

BTW Gameday is not working for me, I'm using Gamecast from ESON but am not too thrilled about it, any recommendations?
