Let's send this dick back to Guantanamo.

sachmoney
It's up to Wake to bring the Axis of Evil to justice and to preserve Freedom!

AgentOrange
Thank you for not violating game thread protocol.

The Red Sox will win tonight because I generally only get to watch the Friday games. And I'll be damned if some Guantanamo escapee (and Sooner) is going to ruin my week.

Believe me, I don't have the balls to upset the game thread Gods in my first game thread.
Flynn4ever
Good luck Pedro's, but I was always of the opinion that we should have gotten G38 to start all threads this year. He did OK last post-season.
Foulkey Reese
Wake, Byrd, and Colon to pitch the first 3 games of this 4 game series.

Yikes.

Who IS David Purcey? "Pur-cey" kind of looks like a phoenetic spelling of the word "pussy" in the Sean Connery dictionary. Sean Connery thinks this man is a pussy and I agree. What choice do I have?

Purcey is a Sooner, so we have that going for us.

Oh, and he attended a high school (TCA) that kicked a kid out for being gay.
Foulkey Reese
Dear JD,

Please come back. We love you.

The pitching "factory" that brought MLB Russ Ortiz and Mark Redman. Yeah, let's kick this guy's ass.

A win is expected. Wake has been effective against the Jays.

Umm.....yuck.

This makes it look slightly better, but it might be a very long night.

Accuweather is the most promising so I'm going with that:

6pm
67° F Mostly Cloudy
7pm 67° F Mostly Cloudy
8pm 66° F Fog
9pm 65° F Fog
10pm 64° F Fog
11pm 64° F Rain
12am

Rooster Crows
Here's to good Wakes showing up, the offense waking up (often and early), and a kick ass series against these guys - start it off right.

GO SOX - WIN TODAY!
trekfan55
It's 15 minutes to game time, where is everyone?

Is the game starting on time?

Please help me out I'm on the road (again).
Foulkey Reese
Find something else to do tonight...

QUOTE
The Red Sox have just officially announced the start to tonight's 7:05 p.m. game has been delayed. However, they did not indicate at which point the contest might begin but it will depend on the rain. The forecast does not look promising. We will keep you informed.

Once I get my work done (and I do have work to do) the choices are boring, boring, and boring. Plus I hardly ever sleep in hotels (and with the time I spend in them it's like a curse).

Please keep us out of touch posted.

Based on the current weather conditions, the Red Sox have just announced they hope to have the game begin at about 7:45 p.m. but said that was subject to change if the rain picks up.
Pearl Wilson
Tarp has been taken off and they're saying they hope to start at 7:45. It's still raining but they will try to play anyway. It is in the hands of the ump crew chief Dana Demuth.
trekfan55
i think they'll try their darndest to get it in. I don't think they want to make these teams play 2 DH in a row.

Edit: Gameday says Warmups, what does NESN say?
Lars The Wanderer
Win fast!
Pearl Wilson
Don O "It's raining at a pretty good clip".

They're about to begin.
FortyFive
This is a disaster. . .I can't believe they're playing in this. . .
FortyFive
Also, has Dennis Drinkwater missed a game this year? That guy is more reliable than death, taxes and the USPS.
Lars The Wanderer

Runs!
Pearl Wilson
Wake is throwing strikes, at any rate.

FortyFive are you in the park?

Foulkey Reese
Rain should start to tail off in the next half hour or so.

Sprowl
Very considerate of the Sox to delay the game's start until I got home.

Wasn't Rolen supposed to be the GOOD defensive third baseman they got for Glaus?

Not sure if you've noticed that they're playing in slop.

Why are they playing?

No, I am home in my nice dry apartment in Kenmore smile.gif Between the Pats Sunday, Sox Monday, Tuesday, tomorrow and Sunday, I needed another night off smile.gif

Remy says the wind is blowing out towards CF and picking up.

Scary camera angle. That looked a lot worse.

There goes the no hitter.

Kevin Mench sucks, because that cookie should have been a home run. That was fucking dead center.

From the angle I'm seeing, a lot of them look to be dead center. I don't know how long he'll get away with that.

Passed balls don't help. However I can sympathize with Cash.
Pearl Wilson
Man, you couldn't PAY me to go out and play baseball in this weather. Oh wait...
