Gain some distance from those pretenders from Chicago.
Foulkey Reese
With Pauley vs Buehrle tomorrow, this would be a good game to win.

Andrew
Yesterday was my fault. I wasn't around to say WEINER DOG FOULKEY REESE SO CUTE PET HIS LUCKY LITTLE HEAD!
dauber23
Win it for Sarah Palin!
WayBackVazquez

Foulkey Reese

Amalie's floating head m0j0?

Other than swapping Ellsbury for Crisp what do you want them to do? Bailey at first and sit Cora?

I didn't mean that as a shot at Tito. Just saying that the White Sox are a good team, and it's unfortunate that the Red Sox are stuck throwing out line ups like that.

Casey's neck problem has been a real drag.

TheoShmeo
Theoretically, I'd like to see Kotsay at first, Youks at third, Lowrie at SS and Ellsbury (or Crisp) in CF, but I suspect that Kotsay isn't quite ready for that, yet.

You'd need both Ellsbury and Crisp in the OF.

Anything to get Cora's nonagenerian range off the damn field. God.
I was at the game that Lackey went into the 9th with a no hitter about a month ago and Cora bungled 3 plays that any competent SS would have made and somehow skated with only 1 error, IIRC. He was laughably bad. Casual fans who went with me to the game were asking me why the Sox would put a guy like that on the field. Sadly, I had no answer. I still don't.

True.

My ideal line-up with the current injuries would have Kotsay, Ellsbury and Crisp in it, and Cora and Bailey on the bench. That assumes that Kotsay could play first which may not be the case at this point.

It takes a real man to hit a home run: Dustin Pedroia
MoVaughnsTruck
Foulkey Reese
Good start
NYCSox
And .... we're back.

Let's go Youks.
NYCSox
Thanks Crede.
Snodgrass'Muff
Love the diving Ellsbury catch to start out a quick inning for Daisuke. More like that, please.

Anyone else have trouble with the "IPS Server" or something like that? Good start for the Sox.

Bad play, should've gone home.
NYCSox
Ugh. Come on Bay, what the eff?
RedOctober3829
fuck you jason. that's all.

That's like his first squander since he's been here
Rough Carrigan
Javier Vazquez is usually a pretty good pitcher for 5+ innings. But I don't know if there's a good pitcher in MLB with such a consistent record of giving up bombs that ruin previously good outings around the 6th or 7th innings.
Foulkey Reese
Well that was horrific

NYCSox
Squander. Ugh.
V.I. Tessie
Highly disappointing. mad.gif
RedOctober3829
Big-time squander. I knew I could count on it.
OCD SS
Holy shit, Kevin Cash got an endorsement deal?

Speaking of squander...I think Kotsay just became an official Red Sox.
OCD SS
KILL ALEX CORA!
sachmoney
Nice to see Cora make a Lugo-esque effort at a ball up the middle.

A GIDP would be nice here. If he keeps the pitch count under 20 it would be great, considering the inevitable blow up inning.
OCD SS
Swisher is now Amish.

It would be really fun to watch Ozzie Guillen get beat up

What I have noticed is that his managers have loved to try to coax long outings from him, and as a result he ends up giving up a 3-run home run in the 7th or 8th inning of what was previously a superb outing. The guy is obviously a great talent. Has he just been mismanaged?

Foulkey Reese
Dicek looks excellent so far
NomarRS05
Nice catch. Gotta give Dye that much.

He does indeed. His velocity is variable, but higher (up to 95) in the first two innings than it has been in the last couple of starts. Relatively few cutters and slurves so far.

Dye plays the RF corner very well.
Foulkey Reese
An excuse me double for Tek
sachmoney
Nice catch by Dye...that sucks for the young Cardinal.

White Sox announcers were bitching about the strikezone.
NYCSox
Automatic double. Get it right Orsillo.
AZBlue
Shock to see Cora jammed by inside slider and popping out to short.
Manny's Hammies
All the complaining notwithstanding, Cora's actually been fairly serviceable offensively the past few weeks.
AZBlue
37 pitches for Vasquez over two innings. I hope that the Red Sox batters remain patient and let him run up the pitch count.
