Enough of this nonsense.
A.J. Burnett has had a good year and the win over the MFYs the last time out was appreciated. But at 15-2 with a 2.77 ERA, Matsuzaka has been better, even though the way he has gotten there hasn't always been easy on the eyes.
Either way, DMat will lead the Sox to victory on Sunday afternoon, the Sox will get a much needed day of rest on Monday and the beginning of the end of the Last Season of the Toilet will commence on Tuesday.
Oh, and the Twinkies just lost to the LAA, 7-5.

This is the first time I've been nervous all season long.
The injuries during the stretch run are piling on. Drew, Lowell, Beckett, and Wakefield ...
And the disappointing years are, as well. Varitek, Lugo, Buchholz, Ellisbury ...
Add the Manny SAGA to the mix, and it just doesn't seem to be our year.
Prove me wrong, Dice.

Burnett struck out 13 Yankees the other day, I would not be shocked to see him match or exceed that today.
Boston:
Ellsbury-RF
Pedroia-2B
Ortiz-DH
Youkilis-1B
Bay-LF
Lowrie-3B
Varitek-C
Cora-SS
Crisp-CF
Matsuzaka-SP
Toronto:
Inglett-2B
Scutaro-3B
Rios-RF
Wells-CF
Lind-LF
Overbay-1B
Stairs-DH
Barajas-C
McDonald-SS
Burnett-SP

Casey better have a SEVERE case of whiplash to NOT be in the lineup today. What the fuck? He is 13-23 off this guy!
That being said..the next big game A.J. Burnett wins will be the first.

I sure hope Dice K has his good stuff and would love to somehow see him go 7.

There's a reason why the Red Sox have a 7-game lead over the Blue Jays. It would be nice if we saw evidence of that this afternoon.

"David Aardsma (groin strain) and Julio Lugo (quadriceps strain) are on their way back to Boston right now and will have MRIs tomorrow to determine the severity of their injuries. Mike Lowell (right oblique strain) will be in touch with Dr. Tom Gill tomorrow to determine if he has clearance to join the team in New York to resume workouts.
First baseman Sean Casey, meanwhile, has been unavailable all season [
sic -- series?] due to a stiff neck that developed three days ago after evidently sleeping wrong. The Sox seriously need to get in touch with the posturepedic people to find some new beds on the road."

TC: The Blue Jays have been hitting .347 in the last 6 games, unfortunately 3 of those have been against the Red Sox.
Rice: See Lester that's a ball down in the zone you hit it high up in the air because when you're a lefty the last thing you want to see when you're struggling is a lefty because the only guy that could get me out was Vida Blue and I was 23 when I first saw Vida Blue and he had good stuff.
TC: Uh.. so Wells is leading the way for the Blue Jays offense..

Tom Caron: If Beckett goes down, though, you're talking about losing the ace of your staff. All bets are off and I'm not sure how they could do it.
Jim Rice: Well you gotta get a base hit or a little ground ball to advance the runner because I'm in a 3-1 count and I'm a home run hitter and I might try to hit a home run.
Okay, why does Jim Rice still have this job? Has he ever made sense?
