Halama......Wow

Indeed... and he defeats Bowden, 1-0.

Boxscore

Michael Bowden went the first 6 innings, giving up 3 hits and a walk, allowing a first inning run while striking out 3. Kyle Snyder went the final 2 innings, giving up 2 hits and a WP; striking out 2.

Joe Thurston went 2/4. Jeff Natale went 1/4. Sean Danielson went 0/2 with a HBP. Keith Ginter went 0/3 with a walk. Gil Velazquez and Jeff Corsaletti each went 0/3. George Kottaras and Josh Wilson each went 0/4. Sandy Madera went 0/1 before being replaced by Tony Granadillo (in his first AAA game) who went 0/2.

Bowden gave up a lead off double and then a two out double in the first. [Pawsox.com said the first double was misplayed by LF Gil Velazquez... which shouldn't be surprising since he is an IF by trade]. He then set down 15 in a row before giving up a walk. The walk was erased on a CS. He gave up a single before getting the final out in the 6th.

Josh Reddick went 1/2 with a HR

After hitting .180 / .236 / .300 in his first 14 G and 55 PA at AA (9-50, 2B, 3B, HR, 4 BB), Reddick has hit .450 / .560 / 1.150 in his last 6 G and 25 PA (9-20, 2 2B, 4 HR, 5 BB). He's also stolen both of his bases in that time frame.

He's only 7 months older than Lars (now at .364 / .457 / .636), so if he can keep hitting well he's going to end up with a nice line for his age and level.

Soon. His horrible batting start is probably just what the Sox wanted to see.

I'm not sure it's better than him setting the world on fire, but it's a close second in desired outcomes if not the best. An average performance from Kelly with the bat would've been the worst possible outcome. I'm looking forward to seeing that power sinker next spring.

To answer the question with something more definitive... He is supposed to start pitching in the fall instructional league.
