Any stated reason as to why Papi gets a day off? Not that he doesn't look like he needs one.
Also, not to be picky but there's 2 CF in the lineup.

Jut a cut-and-paste from Extra Bases...so I don't actually know who is playing CF and who is playing RF...I suspect that Ellsbury is in RF.

Well, at least Lowell did hit a 3R HR yesterday, so I guess Papi moved ahead on the "needs rest" list. I think Ellsbury should have been leading off instead of Coco, I know Tito's hand was "forced" yesterday but if he had to choose between Ellsbury and Coco for leadoff Ellsbury was a better choice. Drew hitting 6th I don't like.

I'm guessing it's because Danks is a lefty and Crisp hits from the right side, too.

when almost the whole team is hitting poorly, playing tired and or beat up you kinda gotta pick and choose.
I think tito did a fine job with this lineup consideing a tough lefty is throwing for white sox.
Beckett really needs to step up.

Bring it, tonight, Beckett - you really need this series split, then you can regroup back at home. Lead the way to a big ass-kicking - give Ozzie something to rant about.

So this means Tito will be willing to play small ball to create runs with the speed of Coco and Ellsbury, right? Right??

Well, Danks is a LHP, and the only lefty in the lineup is Drew. Danks has an odd platoon split:
RHH: 242/287/378
LHH: 266/327/338
Similar OPS, but when righties hit him, they hit him hard.
